Sexy date outfit

I'm looking for ideas for a sexy outfit for a date with my partner. He absolutely goes mad for heels and a woman dressed up to the nines. I've tended to dress well, more feminine ditsy rather than sexy but with ankle boots for comfort. I would like to surprise him with something different and sexy. I'm a curvy hourglass size 14/16.

Any ideas would be great, here's an item I thought might work with a softer top and heels. I haven't worn heels in ages either.

Im reporting some of the comments on this thread that seem to suggest the op will be deserving of "comments" "abuse" and shall have to mind and "be safe"
Absolute crap and pandering to the rape culture that women who dress a certain way are "asking for it"
Some of you need to take a good long look at yourself.

100% this.

I would wear it in the bedroom with heels. I actually have similar skirts that I wear for work and going out but I would wear it completely differently ie not with a leather bra top or high heels. An item can look very different if you have imagination.
Op wear what you like and whatever people say it's not wrong to wear what your oh wants (ish!) occasionally.
S and B never used to be so snarky. I used to escape here for a bit of the gentler side of MN, but now it's just as judgy as the rest of MN.

Whilst I am 100% in the camp of thinking that a woman should be able to walk down the road naked without fear of any sort of comments/aggression from Men, we also know that is not the case. A lot of women modify their behaviour and dress because it's more important that they have a nice time out with their partner/ friends than having to deal with sexist/ abusive comments from ignorant pricks. Of course that's not right, but it is the way it is.

There is a whole another discussion for another thread which is about why women internalise the desires of men to such a degree that we have lost sight of what a woman "dressing for herself" even means any more.

Iamthewombat · 21/01/2022 15:22

It’s a knee length PVC skirt and she isn’t planning on wearing it like the model on the website. She is hardly going to be chased along the road by men making sexist and abusive comments.

The funniest thing about this thread is the oft repeated advice that showing ‘just a bit of skin’ is more sexy than, er, fitted, glamorous clothes. A PP picked up on this upthread by humorously noting that the OP should wear a silk burqua and trainers. I’m going to go one step further and suggest chest waders, a donkey jacket, gloves and a balaclava (cashmere). Just a hint of skin. It will drive the OP’s husband wild!

I don't love that particular skirt, however I do really like leather skirts in general. I am actually wearing one today, but for me the trick is to dress it down a bit. Let the skirt be the star of the show, and the rest of it more understated. So today I have a short-ish black leather skirt, with an oversized mohair knit, black opaque tights, and flat black Chelsea boots. I also like it with a band type t-shirt and a v-neck cardigan, or a Breton top.

I think PP's suggestion of leather leggings might work better for a restaurant.

Some of these replies are a touch rude, but OP I think if your date is out in public, then the skirt you linked to is not right. It’s bedroom/fetish wear and not intended as regular clothing.

Could you go for something sexy but mainstream enough for going out, e.g. this www.wolfandbadger.com/uk/get-even-metallic-crepe-wrap-dress/ with sky high heels?

Flyinggeese1234 · 21/01/2022 16:46

Or just get the original skirt and have a night in!

Eesha · 21/01/2022 16:54

@Flyinggeese1234 love that skirt you posted but I'm probably a 16 on top! I've found a more Boho wrap dress instead but will probably add some high heels rather than boots.

Fair enough OP. Heels with a boho dress will look fab too. I do get it about wanting to knock his sock off, and sure you will!

Melroses · 21/01/2022 17:11

Definitely stick to boho if that is you, and with some great new shoes you like.

If you are going to a restaurant, the skirt will be out of sight anyway and you need something comfortable to sit in.

Pretty eye make up and smile and it will knock his socks off Grin
