What's your favourite Diptyque candle?

I've bought cheap candles for so long for so once am going to splurge, everyone seems to love Diptyque. Are they that good? And what is your favourite scent, what does it smell like?

What does Boy Smells smell like?! It makes me feel a bit sick!

Agree with this, it's absolutely beautiful. Just such a sod that you can only get it at Liberty!

Ambre is the only one I ever buy. I have tried to get others but change my mind at the last minute. Love it!

Santal! But I always fear they're discontinuing it as it's not always easy to find. If you like Sandalwood it's the one.

I also like Baies, although I think it's quite sweet. And Feu de Bois for a woody smell. I don't like figuier.

Am keen to try Narguiles.

Diptyque are the only candles I rate - as a PP said they burn right down to the bottom so you don't get wastage. But I'd like to try Boy Smells too.

I have a 300g one and it’s tunnelled a little bit. I’ve tried putting foil around the edge but it’s not made a difference. Has anyone found a way to fix it?

With tunnelling, you have to burn the candle each time until the pool of wax is level, so 3-4 hours each time. Then when it rehardens it's level again.

There's all different ones. The ones I have had so far (Ash and Polyamberous) are quite musky. Really long lasting and you can smell them when they aren't burning.

I am going to put an order in and try a couple more

Thé oh my lord it’s amazing. It was one of the original 3 they ever made I think They stopped it for ages and we found it the other week back in stock so I’m saving for it again as it’s so spendy.
I love diptyque. Have lots of their perfumes and they’re just lush

Ooh thanks for this thread. I tend to stick to Baies but they didn't have the 5 wick in stock so I switched over to Ambre for my last purchase

Tempted by a couple I've seen mentioned on this thread though, I should broaden my horizons though the five wick is pretty limited in the scents in comes in

@givemepiece why do you go for the 5 wicked out of interest? Does it scent a bigger space? I go for the small ones as I'm trying to find my favourite.

@Tiramysu yes it scents the whole house it's crazy. And you don't have to burn it too long to get the scent all through the house.
Also, I eBay the empty jars after and without fail will get around 60£ for them, which goes towards my next candle

I adore several of their scents. Buying a candle every couple of months is one of my special treats.

Feu de Bois is my favourite winter scent. I also like Baies, Tubereuse and Narguile.

I tried Insolite as Ioved the smell in store and DH really liked it. But I found it had a strange top note which reminded me of tomatoes (actually ketchup!). Once I’d thought that, I couldn’t unthink it. Insolite means ‘weird’ in French, and indeed it was!

I’ve just bought Litchi and it smells gorgeous! Saw it in John Lewis and was going to save it for later but I caved in. It’s fruity and floral and perfectly lovely

Yes it does. It’s one of those scents I can’t stop sniffing (actually it seems to travel round the room quite well which is good!)
