What's your favourite Diptyque candle?

I've bought cheap candles for so long for so once am going to splurge, everyone seems to love Diptyque. Are they that good? And what is your favourite scent, what does it smell like?

Violet! I wouldn't wear it as a perfume but it's sweet and lovely

Flocon- it's one of their limited christmassy ones. It smells sort of powdery musky.

Feu de Bois!

It is the most divine scent of wood smoke and there is nothing else quite like it! Would I buy one for myself? Not a hope in hell but have trained all and sundry to get them as presents.

Jasmine or Ambre or genevrier

I had the cypress one, but wasn't overly impressed.

My favourite splurge candle is Boy Smells polyamberous. Absolutely love it.

feu de bois - it's my favourite candle in the world... nothing compares imo if you like wood-smokey smells

Oranger - smells like oranges (or Pomander - bit less orangey but with spices)
Litchi - smells like roses and lychees

If you just have one, it has to be Baies.

They are expensive, but they last for ages, smell heavenly and burn evenly right down to the bottom of the glass (you don't get that tunnelling effect where the wick burns out before all the wax has melted).

Pomander is winter in a candle.

Ambre 100%. Strongest candle I’ve ever had scent wise!

The limited edition ones are always good too- I have Biscuit which…. Smells like a delicious vanilla biscuit!

Rose and Baies are quite weak and boring IMO and easily replicated by competitors

Baies I love , I can’t bear feu de bois , smells like when you have been sat by a fire in a pub and your clothes smell Smokey but I have lots of friends who like it so maybe it’s just me!!!

I don't like Baies personally but it does seem to be a favourite.

Narguile. Nothing else smells like it, I don't think. Honey and spice, really gorgeous.

honourable mention to Figuier.

I love Baies in winter and mimosa in summer. The scent is much better than other brands I've tried and now I can't go back!

But I have loved the Neom candles I was given last year.

I have the advent calendar and we are slowly working through it. Each one we try is my new favourite. Violet and Feu de Bois are just gorgeous though!

Narguile. For me, this is what luxury smells like.🙂

Anyone else find they don't have as much throw as they used to? They have really increased in price over the past few years (like everything!) although I'm very keen to try the new litchi one.

Feu de bois, baies and tuberose are my favourites.

Tuberose for spring and summer, Pomander and Cannelle for winter. Need an autumn choice.
