Thoughts on this dress

I'm looking for a dress to wear to a wedding next month. Very unhappy with my body at the minute since having a baby 3 months ago. I ordered this and it looked much nicer online. Is it very frumpy/grannyish? I think it might be. I am 27 and a size 12 at the minute if it helps. I've spent hours looking but can't find anything I like, I hate online shopping as it is! I don't have a large budget due to mat leave, roughly £30 for a dress. I definitely don't want anything that shows my stomach, I was looking for a wrap midi dress with a tie belt (to help hide my stomach area) but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Any suggestions would be great!

It looks lovely! I don't think it's frumpy at all although I would change the shoes, it's the shoes that make it grumpy IMO

I don't think it's frumpy- agree with pp about changing shoes.

It does look a lot darker than the online pic!

I think you look really nice. I had my hair a very similar colour for years and loved wearing dark greens. It goes so well.

I clicked on the picture and thought that I liked the dress and would wear it to work. Then I read your post about wearing it for a wedding.

If you feel frumpy with it on you will not feel good on the day.

It looks perfect for a winter wedding and the shape really suits you

Or red-ish head, I can't quite see your hair colour but you look to have a red tinge which goes really well with that colour dress 😊

Agree that the pics of the colour don't match. Online looks an Emerald green (which I love) whereas the real thing looks darker, like a forest green. Still lovely though. Do you have some accessories to brighten the look up?

Shame the colour isn't right as green would have heen perfect (it looks black in your pictures - what does it look like in daylight?).

The dress is nice and really suits you - you look lovely. Agree with pp it's the shoes that aren't great with it.

Thank you all very much, I do agree that the shoes don't compliment it at all, I'll have a look for some different ones. Any suggestions on what colour shoes would go? The dress isn't as dark as it looks on my photos, it was getting dark when I tried it on. It is definitely still green just not an emerald green as expected!

I think it’s lovely. And it’s a dress you could wear at Christmas too. I would add some nice court heels though. I recently had a November wedding and got a lovely phase eight dress on eBay which had been worn once!

Looks good on you! And could be worn for lots of different things Agree about the shoes.
