I love scented candles but always buy really cheap ones from Aldi, the Jo Malone cheapskates. I'm willing to splash out once and buy one that smells amazing, if it's expensive that's fine. What are your favourites?

Another vote for Earl of East. Strand and Viagem are my faves.

True Grace, best on the market in my opinion, fabulous fragrances.

Cire Trudon - Solis Rex. Smells like parisian parquet floor (well, it actually smells like Versailles, hence the name but a parisian parquet floor smells the same)

Another vote for St Eval candles , I love the Seasalt one it’s a lovely fresh aroma but DH likes sweeter ones Inspiritus or Geranium are his favourites.

DW candles in TK Maxx

It was my birthday last week and I bought myself a Boy Smells one with some money I was gifted - Gardener. It is amazing, like the scent of being in a greenhouse on a hot day.

Usually I have St Eval, but I find some are better than others. The sea salt one is particularly nice in summer, and Embers in cold weather. I found one of the Christmas ones really poor, not much scent, and it tunnelled.

Anything 'figiuer'

I really like Sand & Fog, which you can usually pick up in TK Maxx for about £8/£13 depending on size. They do a wide range, the throw is great and the jars are lovely.

The Peony Aldi candle is hard to beat though!

Ralph's Orchard - very affordable and they have the most gorgeous scents (Wild Fig & Oakmoss and Vintage Bookshop are my faves). Plus they use soy wax and have unique upcycled containers as well.
Oh what a surprise! Yet another recommendation for Ralph's Orchard today. Fourth thread, same poster 🙄🙄

Until recently I'd always picked Diptyque candles up in John Lewis.

I moved to a city with no JL, so ordered online via Diptyque's website. Oh my goodness - such a difference! Same price, but came in a lovely dust bag and you can choose 3 free samples. Would always go directly via the Diptyque website now.

This is my absolute favourite along with Carmélite.
