I appreciate mitsuko for what it is - a classic chypre - but it smells sour on me very quickly (as do all guerlains sadly due to the guerlinade base..)

I really like Mitsouko and have had a bottle on the go for years. I need a new one actually - it’s definitely one of my repeat buys. My birthday is in February so I will add it to the list!

SOTD for yesterday was Aramis JHL - my last few days of wearing my Christmassy smells. 🎄

I also love Mitsouko! My bottle is nearly finishing too, but I reckon I just about have enough to last til next Christmas, when it will go on my list for then! 🙈

Malle's Une Rose plus L'Occitanes Lavender is Sotd.
I'm intrigued by the Mitsouko perfume love. It just doesn't suit me at all - that and Shalimar. I actually find most Guerlain perfumes really difficult to wear apart from Nahema, Champs Elysees and the Aqua Allegorias. I think it's the classic Guerlinade base that most tend to love or loathe.

SOTD NRFH.

SOTD 4160 Tuesdays Killer Rose. I can't get enough of this one. It's bold, big, loads of attitude, bit of patchouli and bursting with roses. Despite being handmade, it works out the same price as something off the High Street.

I was really into it last year but have lost my enthusiasm due to a cold so can't smell that much.
Pre-cold I finally sniffed Jicky and Shalimar at the new Guerlain counter in Edinburgh, they were quite different to what I had imagined and luckily I didn't want to buy them as I'm not buying anymore perfume...

sorry that AGAIn ive been MIA, i had the flu over christmas so have been mostly sleeping since then. ive barely had any energy for anything except surviving the day so thats why i havent been around

SOTD is Jungle Elephant.

The Christmas decs came down today, so I've put away my Christmassy smells until November. I'm quite excited to properly wear my winter collection. ❄️☃️

I've had a cold and cough over Christmas too, and it's just dragging on and on. Lots of Christmas chocolates and snacks (inc mince pies, Christmas cake etc) to eat here also, but I've just got no appetite. Looking forward to getting stuck into them eventually, because they're all my favourite foods!

Has anyone tried Ralph Lauren safari?

It sounds like a warmer grassier Chanel 19 so I'm interested

@madameceladon Safari is wonderful.
I have an older bottle as my vintage Safari turned recently.
I adore everything about it - the gorgeous bottle, the stunning Galbanum top notes, the floral green heart & the warm ambery dry down. Pure distance Antonia is a very similar perfume that's cleaner, with less rough edges and made from high quality constituents.
But sometimes I really Just prefer the cornucopia & slight chaos of the notes in Safari.

@Fferny1 that's a solid recommendation!

It's about £30 on all beauty so I think I'll get a bottle
