It took me a few goes yesterday so holding thumbs this posts first time.

SOTD Black Opium. And I got a compliment 😀

I think of it as a classic, I know it has got a bit of a bad rap, but I love it, and reckon it will be a winter staple.

Poor you @Judystilldreamsofhorses must be so frustrating. Adult DS tested positive yesterday, after we'd spent a few hours together on Monday. I'm negative so far and keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm getting frustrated with the new MN. It's taking ages to load this long thread, probably because I don't use pages and have all posts on one page. So annoying

And those emojis are now so fiddly to use. Grrr.

I, too, am fed up with the new mumsnet platform. I have lost this post twice already, its taking me ages to write anything and I can't even use the actual MN emojis because the site immediately logs me out. Not impressed at all so far. 😕

I actually really like both Black Opium and the original Opium @isthismylifenow although the original Opium is one of my favourite perfumes ever. I do think that Black Opium is so different in concept from the original that it should really have been launched with its own distinct identity.

I really hope your sense of taste returns soon @Judystilldreamsofhorses. It would drive me crazy too if I couldn't taste my food, so you have my sympathy. Are you able to smell yet? From memory, the two will probably return together (and hopefully very soon!)

Anyone tried the new Creed? It’s lovely but £££

Creed is too expensive for me and I don't like how they pretended Oliver Creed made all the perfumes when really it was Pierre Bourdon who was never given any credit. More fool them because Bourdon is a genius!

I’ve done another Perfume Parlour order. I’ve ordered the Angels Share as you all made it sound wonderful, plus Imperial Tea (Kilian as well), Tobacco Vanille, Pleasures and the Jo Loves Gardenia one.

SOTD Carolina Herrera Good Girl. The vanilla base note is coming out strongly on me. I like sweet scents so that's not an issue for me but think it could be quite cloying for others.

I didn’t know that. Interesting. The new smell is lovely though. But too expensive for me. I’ll just grab a squirt in the dept store each visit

Agree with the general consensus on Creed, I'm not a fan either. Overpriced imo. If I liked any of their scents I would definitely look to Perfume Parlour for dupes, too. As ChiswickFlo says, they might have a copy of the one you like @OddsandSods and it would be a hundred times cheaper. 😉

Yeah, it annoys when some perfume brands price their stuff so out of normal reach that it becomes like a status symbol. To me, that's not what perfume is about. I'm looking at Roja Dove, Clive Christian and some Tom Fords.
