Sotd 4160 Shazam!

SOTN is pp Ambre D'Orient. This has an interesting and almost mentholated thyme note in the beginning, before opening out into a radiant and powdery amber/patchouli/sandalwood core that smells lightly spiced. It really is very good, but can't answer for its similarity to the Armani prive original, as it's discontinued.

@DramaAlpaca Nurses used to ask me quite regularly what fragrance I was wearing while measuring my pulse or adjusting a blood pressure cuff/ECG lead, as I visited the hospital for check ups extremely frequently pre covid. I would have loved to answer "Tart's Knicker Drawer!"

SOTD is Kouros - looking at the fragrantica reviews, I really don't get what's particularly masculine about this scent. It just smells incense-y and patchouli-y to me, and tremendously well put together. Certainly nothing very shocking, but then I've never felt comfortable with the heavily gendered marketing that surrounds fragrances. 🤷

Oh kouros is Lush ☺️

@ChiswickFlo It really is; I don't know why I don't wear it more often. Plus, the smell sort of reminds me of a Neal's Yard face cream I could have bathed in - it smelled so divine.

SOTD Penhaligon’s Luna. I thought this was too sharp when I first tried it a few weeks ago, but it is gorgeous today. All bright and citrusy for a beautiful sunny day. It’s been gorgeous here all week. Our magnolia tree is now in full bloom and everything in the garden seems to be growing at amazing speed.

And it’s Friday too!

SOTD is Knowing - for a trip into town in search of flowers and chocolate to add to a couple of things I have already at home for mum's mothers day. Have a terrible migraine and consequently had trouble choosing even those simple items, and am so glad to be back home now.

Off for a nap, and will choose a comforting scent for later.

That sounds absolutely awful @Judystilldreamsofhorses, you are having a horrible time of it . Covid is a terrible, terrible infection. I really hope things improve for you soon.

I've ordered some avon far away royal (?) I think it's called and a bottle of l air du temps from t k maxx (£26 for both!)

Really must put myself on a perfume buying ban now til my birthday in October!

BTW who bought the pp angels share dupe? What did you think? I think it's pretty good

That was me 🙋 @ChiswickFlo. I meant to order the pp dupe of Angel's Share ages ago - it sounds so yummy - but it totally slipped my mind. 🙈 Will order it this week and let you know what I think, although I've not smelled the original.
