Sotd is tong Ford champaca absolute which I've just been told is being discontinued bought the last bottle in John Lewis and will keep it to use sparingly

Treated myself to Byredo Mixed Emotions last week but DH hates it. Normally I wouldn't care (lol) but he says it reminds him of when he was sick through chemo, so I can't ignore that really! Will keep it for when I'm away without him

I didnt have to be too disciplined on the Perfume H samples - they are in decent size dabber bottles so I was sniffing in anticipation throughout the day. Now have Gold on; it takes me right back to something my uncle wore in what must be the 90s in a good if puzzling way. I really cant stop sniffing myself. There is citrus and lots of warmth without wood or recognisable (to me) spices. It smells classy but not in an identikit way, inriguing and delicious without being gourmand. Thanks for the intro @Fferny1

@FestivelyScent I have AG cloud and it is virtually identical. Cloud is a tiny bit more coconut/sweet
They both smell like airy cotton candy to me, sweet but not that sticky thick sweetness. I could sell all my perfumes and just wear that and be happy!
The dupe is v v good

@MaybeHeIsMyCat oh I love perfume parlour too. I have an order in actually but I can't for the life of me remember what I bought and weirdly they don't include it on your confirmation email. Can't wait to get it.

I had previously seen PP's Baccarat Rouge copy was out of stock and I didn't even think to check for it when I was placing this order. I've also heard Zara's Red Temptation is a very good dupe but I can't seem to get my mitts on that anywhere. I'm not sure I'm sold by all the hype with BR tbh, as you say the Ariana Grande Cloud is so close to it then why bother?!

SOTD MH L’Air de Rien. I went for coffee with my neighbour today and it was so nice. Usually we chat over the garden hedge, and I have occasionally minded her DC for an hour or so when she’s had to nip out (I am PVG checked through work in case this sounds weird, I know MN is funny about childless neighbours) but we have never properly socialised before.

Sotd is Gucci Guilty. I have seen reviews describe it as smelling like clean nappie and I can see why but I would say it smells like a freshly powdered baby just out of the bath. I love the smell of baby powder so I find this addictive.

SOTD the last sprays of Eau Duelle. Looking forward to opening the new bottle!

i didnt get the JJB this year because i just couldnt stretch to it with needing to do some stuff at home which i was gutted about!

SOTD Perfumer H Gold, lovely warm citrus with frankincense and what I guess from the notes to be cinnamon leaf. FB worthy without a doubt but just need to work out costs for some house work first.

Hello Lovelies.

Good day today, I peered in a box I had stashed away since last year's move and found my YSL Nu (incense from the Tom Ford era), a vintage bottle of L'Heure Bleue EdP I forgot I even owned , a bottle of Hot Couture (wasn't my finest hour, and hasn't improved with age), and my back-up Annick Goutal's. Very pleased.

I do love L'Heure Bleue, and that raspy Guerlain moss, but I was reminded that, just like Mitsouko, there is a definite whiff of a distant slightly stale chip pan at a certain point.

Before this evening's discovery, I also found my PP homage to Le Parfum de Therese. Sacrilegious I know. But oddly satisfying for those of us who can only sniff our precious decants on high days and holidays.

It gestures in the general direction of LPdT, in a cheerfully broad brush sort of way, and for once with PP, is not ruined by its shortcomings. I also tried layering it with Shay and Blue's Black Club Leather (recommended - a satisfying balsamic leather that reminds me a bit of Le Participe Passe).
