Who remembers Revlon Flex shampoo?

I had long forgotten this shampoo and conditioner but caught a whiff of it on my hair after using L’Oréal dream lengths. It’s not really the same but something registered in my scent memory.I loved it in my teens and 20s. The conditioner was thick and yellow and the smell lingered in your hair for days plus my hair felt bouncy and shiny. Win , win.
Does anyone know if you can still get it anywhere?

That's a blast from the past. I can recall the smell. It wasn't good for me, it made my fine hair feel greasy.

notacooldad · 17/11/2021 19:26

Have a look on Amazon.

My favourite shampoo used to be Vidal Sasoon. It had a gorgeous smell.

WhereIsMyGlasses · 17/11/2021 19:28

I used to love that shampoo, I can still smell it! A google search shows it's on amazon and ebay but no idea if it's still the same.

FictionalCharacter · 17/11/2021 19:28

Oh yes, I liked it. Also Elseve Balsam, same era.

WhereIsMyGlasses · 17/11/2021 19:29

I'm the slowest poster 🤦‍♀️ nobody had commented when I said ebay or amazon 😂

mommybear1 · 17/11/2021 19:32

Ooo memories my Mom used to use that!

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 17/11/2021 19:34

The stuff on Amazon is a reformulation.

I do remember the old stuff but it didn’t do anything for me, unfortunately (or fortunately).

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 17/11/2021 19:36

i remember, it was almondy wasn't it??

I am off to look on amazon...can anyone say for sure if it smells the same?

Hummingbirdcake · 17/11/2021 19:36

I used to use it but like notacooldad I really liked the Vidal Sassoon almonds one.

TheCreamCaker · 17/11/2021 19:37

I use the Revlon Flex conditioner, got it from Amazon

LoveFall · 17/11/2021 19:39

I have very fine hair that gets oily fast. I remember using Revlon Flex as a teen and in my 20s. I had really long hippie look hair and it worked.

I miss it!

OverByYer · 17/11/2021 19:39

I used to love it too

LefttoherownDevizes · 17/11/2021 19:42

I've sent it in Poundland before plus local black beauty store (also nocxema, palmers and amazing selection of petroleum jellies instead of vaseline)

LoveFall · 17/11/2021 19:42

I just checked. They want 60$ Canadian for one measly bottle of the conditioner on Amazon. Umm...no. It was not that good!

SaintVal · 17/11/2021 19:42

Oh I loved that! I also liked Finesse which was in a blue bottle - the one with the pink lid for damaged hair. Why do they stop making these things when they're so good?!

I bought some Finesse from the States. Still smells the same but am now following curly girl and it contains silicone so not great for my hair

Revlon Flex worked so well with my fine, flyaway hair.
Also loved the original Andrew Collinge shampoo which smelled like the sea.

Alwayscheerful · 17/11/2021 19:49

Revlon flex can still be purchased at Makro cash and carry.

Beautiful smell, reminds me of the 80s.

toomanyplants · 17/11/2021 19:53

Oh I loved this! I can still remember the smell so well

SpeckyWithTheGoodHair · 17/11/2021 19:56

Loved Flex, made your hair smell amazing!! (And the conditioner was excellent for getting chamomile buds out of your hair when using the Body Shops powdered chamomile shampoo...

Anyone remember Sunsilk De Parfum?

isthismylifenow · 17/11/2021 20:01

Try the South African shop as it is still made here.
