Plus size style/what are you wearing

Have seen a few old threads like this so stole the idea hoping for some inspiration

I'm currently living in leggings and jumpers, or baggy dresses and tights. I've recently lost just over 2 stone and hoping to lose more. My body size/type is already changing but I just don't know how to dress. I am 5ft4 and around a size 18 now. I don't really like my stomach area, and I have chunky arms and thighs and big boobs

Would love to know where everyone gets their clothes from and also some inspiration for outfit ideas. I usually use ASOS, Boohoo, New Look etc but finding that everywhere has crop tops etc which I really don't want

This one is just below my knee. I love it! I'm 5ft 9" so it's a good length.

I've just seen a really similar one on the Lucy and Yak site. I'm buying another boilersuit from there as I love my current one so much. So have added the dress too!

I bought a few things (a really rare spending spree) last week and some of the things are going back, so I can totally justify it!

Here is the pinafore dress that I was wearing yesterday. With and without enormous grey sweater that I wear to keep warm running to and from the car.

I have 2 outfits! This was today's exciting trip to the doctors.

Dm boots bought from ebay, limited edition.

Black thermal treggings (a German brand from charity shop, mum bought me for my birthday. Very thick and warm, not see through.). Old black vest, primark long sleeve black top all old. Shirt charity shop old.

Second is a black and white stripy dress from Wallis via charity shop. At least 10 years old. Thermal red glittery top marks sparks, black woolen snags, the dm boots with the roses on the side. This was also to the doctors 😳 the dress goes just past my knee and I don't usually like things this length on me but this one I do.

Ooooo i know what I can say that's exciting. I bought two Christmas party skirts from eBay. Both totalled £24 including post, both are brand new. Christmas party cancelled 😔

So the red is Dorothy perkins. The black is from very. Labels still on. Both size 18.

I need to try them on 🤭

Going against all mumsnet rules here with my tacky sparkles, and trousers that resemble leggings. I only discovered my style (or felt able to truly dress like myself) much too late so I feel my clothes express my personality . Everyone should please themselves. Peace out.

I wear maxi dresses with pulled in waists and looser skirts all year round. Long sleeved ones for winter.

Ahh my 'watch' list hasn't been updating for some reason so I've missed loads. Loving everyone's outfits!

Thank you, i felt I had to buy them when I seen them! I developed a small dm obsession lockdown number 1, so had to buy these. I think I've maybe 7 pairs?

Sorry I haven't posted in ages, I had a trapped nerve so was in bed for two weeks in loungewear so not particularly inspiring.

I've just got back from a. Holiday in Lapland so will put this photo up of me and Dh - I'm in a TU Christmas jumper and some TU wide leg jeans - oh I can't recommend these enough if you are an apple like me.

They have elastic at the back and the front has pleats to skim over your tummy - they are my Best Buy jeans wise in a long time so I bought two more pairs!

This is on my hotel balcony in Lapland a couple of days ago - it was minus 27 so I wasn't out there for long 🤣!

Will catch up with the rest of the thread now whilst having a relaxing coffee ( the unpacking took bloody ages!)

Is anyone going on Christmas nights out still?

I'm after something flattering for a size 16, big booked, big bellied short.arse for next Friday if anyone has any recommendations please!

@Wagsandclaws hope you’re starting to feel a bit better now. I am seriously jealous of the Lapland holiday! Hope you had a great time. I love the jeans on you, I’ve always considered them but thought they would make me look 10 miles wider than I am but you’ve inspired me to give them a try as they look great on you

@Mylee I wore them shopping today 😍 I literally can't get enough of them.

When you are an extreme apple like me ( size 10 legs ) size 18 stomach and a at bum with 38 f/g boobs you search a long time for the right jeans. I'm so glad that wide legs are in atm as they balance me out so well.

Attached a pic of me going Christmas shopping today, same jeans ( sensing a theme here 🤣 ) short sleeve cashmere jumper I got from eBay and my newest purchase which is a military style jacket from Karen Millen - it's pricey but I've put it on klarna.

It's such a good fit. I always buy blazers a tiny bit small as they look awful oversize and hang from my boobs. This is nipped in at the waist and goes in after my boobs so it's perfect. Has some stretch too!

@Workyticket have a look at very, they've got loads of dresses up to a size 26 plus. Also as @Mylee said yours is good ( don't rate their quality much though ).

Oh forgot to say cream boots from M and S

Oh and these are the jeans from TU, I bought a 16 ( I'm usually an 18 ) they are super comfortable as well as flattering as the name suggests

I usually go for a midi dress with a denim jacket and Vans or heels

I'd love a v neck midi and maybe a fluffy jacket!
