@Mylee the joys of being an extreme apple shape. I reckon my legs are about a size 10 then you get to my flat bum and my stomach has a rather large overhang from being 6 odd stone heavier and 5 children.
I struggle massively with trousers in as much as I need a 16/18 waist but the majority of trousers are cut for a pear shape ( I'm looking at you Karen Millen ) so I tend to wear wide leg trousers all the time from jeans to normal every day trousers as they hide the skinny legs and balance out my much larger top half.
I also have a lot of loose skin on my upper legs so can't wear shorter shorts and a mini skirt needs tights every time.
Basically I'm shaped like a capital B 🤣 but I do know how to dress mostly for my shape - those primark leggings are a 16 but are nice and tight on the legs - have to be careful though as I don't want to look too top heavy with skinny legs so usually wear chunky boots to try and balance it out ( my bra size is still a 38 f even after all that weight loss.)
@CrimbleCrumble1
That skirt and top are divine, right up my street tbh, I don't look on next that much as there is so much choice and I end up overspending 🤣.
I found an amazing leather skirt on Karen Millen that had an elastic waist and I bought in a 16 ( I'd say I'm more an 18 on the waist tbh ) from their regular range and I love it so much, they did a midi length one with the same elastic waist but they never seemed to have it in a 16 so couldn't get that one.
I'm still in bed, I feel terrible as can't sleep because of the bloody nerve pain, I'm supposed to be taking ds1 and ds2 to Lapland two weeks in Saturday with Dh and eldest dd 29 but the way it's going I'm going to have to stay here whilst they go if this doesn't improve.
I went out with my dd's bridesmaids on Saturday ( trapped never happened on Monday - just woke up and couldn't move my head ) so I'll attach a pic of my outfit.
Dress was shein plus range, cape coat thing also shein and I had merino wool tights on with flat shoes also from shein. All super stretchy and comfortable but was black so flattering too!
@StormyTeacups hope you stay negative. We all had covid 4 weeks ago and it went from the two youngest boys to me, Dh, dd and her Dh in 4 day, have to say we got over it pretty quickly - I hope you remain negative 🤞
@Mediocrates I love dungarees, they are so versatile, again I have to look for wide legged ones but I found the simply be cropped ones to be lovely and comfy, also a big fan of the asos plus range jersey ones.
Attached pic of me all in shein on Saturday as still in pj's today.
