Slouchy day today. Trying to go through all my ‘bottoms’ that aren’t jeans to work out why I don’t wear them. I like these though so I think I just forgot them . Also none of my trainers feel right any more. Please explain why not?!

Not a clue why trainers don't feel right @Sooverthemill maybe its they are to chunky? the shoes you've been wearing lately are all quite slim. Luke your jumper.

It's my birthday today 🥳 DH frustrated as some.of my presents are still in transit but I'm not worried. Got these lovely earrings which I asked for.

Ordered this Mint Velvet blazer but they only had a bigger size left so question is do I get it altered to fit me, annoyingly I saw the size down yesterday in their shop I should have bought it as sold out online!

I think it could be a classic item if it fitted me.

It's my last day off before work starts tomorrow, I'm keeping a outfit diary at the moment to help me declutter at the next turn of the season. Saying that most of the last week has been spent in Uniqlo thermal trousers, they are so bloody comfy :/

I think trainers have become a spring/summer wardrobe item @Sooverthemill. I’ve noticed that I just don’t wear them in the winter anymore.

Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well @itssquidstella It's my first day back at work today too and I was hoping to feel rested and relaxed after 2 weeks off but somehow it's not going that way!

Jumper - Hush (I've had this for a year, barely worn it and now worn it 3 or 4 times in two weeks! Must get better at not wearing the same things all the time)

Jeans - M&S. These are new, I didn't have any blue skinnies, and I have realised they are my preferred shape for winter as I like to wear with DMs and I can't make the looser cuts work for me. I don't know why as I always think they look great on other people - mainly on this thread Like some others I am also trying to buy more mindfully, and these fit into that for me as I bought based on a gap in my wardrobe and to go with other items I already have.

I still love skinny jeans @PalacePaper - they will never be 'out' as far as I am concerned. They are so practical as well for winter, what else goes so well with walking boots and wellies? Love the M&S ones.

Sunny, frosty, cold! Had to get up in the night to put the heating on for DD! At least I get to wear my warm jumpers.

I’ve decided to do ‘22 in 22’ so I’m ‘only’ adding 22 items to my wardrobe this year excluding any necessities like undies ( unlikely as I have lots). And one in one out. Still culling and eBaying. I’m buying from small retailers (and Sézane and Rouje
If I’m seriously tempted). Preloved preferred as ever I but lots from eBay etc. need to decide if it includes my knitting as that feels like a hobby. Not sure

Icy! PurplecatDog and I were out gingerly this morning, lol. Hush boots with old harem pants from Michael Kors and a jumper from Autumn Cashmere. Also dog walking jacket which didn’t make the picture, lol. One of the Purplecat posse has nicked the dogs bed for now - will see how that pans out!

Just had an email from DS school saying they are doing all they can to stay open but may have to close some year groups if staff absences continue Just hoping we can get through as much of Jan and Feb as possible with both DC at school, this time last year trying to work and home school was pretty horrendous...

Weird about the skinny jeans and boots talk as I took delivery of slim leg jeans from m and s and tried them with my boots. My skinnies looked far nicer. The jeans are going back as they were a bit loose around the knees and they were really stretchy so think they will give too much!

So skinnies are still a go to for me!

It’s bloody freezing today! Warm jumper for sure. After my trainers dilemma yes I used one of my 22 for 22 to get a new colourway of the Campo trainers both @EllaPaella and I have in yellow. At 36 wears they are my most worn pair and so comfortable. This colourway should be a good match for my wardrobe I think

I don’t think the dress looks like a nightdress @Softpebbles. But then I’m probably biased as I have the same one in the other colour way. I’ve worn it more than I expected to (7 times in 3 months).

Struggling with what to wear under this bodysuit as it's very transparent. Think it's probably better for layering underneath things to keep me warm.

Not sure about this outfit it's a bit safe and boring but thought I'd try something slightly different for a change.
