But I'm very pleased with my charity find of a Pikur gilet for £12

They are crazy expensive think £130 and normally worn by proper dressage riders and now me as the brakes are for wimps cob.

@Sooverthemill beautiful dogs. I absolutely love poodles. Next dog will probably be a random failed foster but I'd go greyhound (can't because of the cats), show cocker, poodle. I know a gorgeous big black standard one and she's a dream. I adore the lab but food obsessed is an understatement. Makes her easy to train though.

@Sooverthemill How lovely. Dogs are such wonderful companions. It’s great to hear how yours takes care of your daughter when she feels ill. I think a Standard as an assistance dog is a great idea. They are so intelligent. On another note, that jumper is fab. I’m so impressed with your knitting. I managed a baby jumpsuit and jumper, scarf, couple of bags, but was nowhere near your level.

Hahaha @EllaPaella. No, I don’t work at Downton Abbey. Although that is the pretty bit of site. The rest isn’t nearly as glamorous - here is the view from my office window!

I’m also wearing a secondhand bargain today. (DH calls this my Edwardian governess look)!

They’re the Amilita boots @Bluesheep8. I got them last year, and I love them! So comfortable - they don’t really need breaking in.

It’s snowing! So I don’t like that one bit but at least I have warm jumpers and central heating. Watching the news and hoping all on here have power. Keep warm

@WaltzingBetty I’m also a lurker and love this thread and the supportive attitudes of everyone. I just think that’s quite sad and I’m not really sure that anything could possibly be gained by calling someone out. People have their reasons for doing things and outing a potentially vulnerable person could have consequences.

@zigzaggaway I love both your outfits.I'm going to search for dungarees in January.Also love that Hobbs dress @oublietteBravo.Hobbs did a really nice line about 8 years ago....N16 or something.I got a few nice dresses from there.One was quite similar.It wasn't N16...that was my postcode at the time I'll google it.

Yes!! I had a beautiful Hobbs NW3 tartan dress @Chrispackhamspoodle - I remember spotting Jenna Coleman wearing it on Dr Who and searching for it afterwards. I still have it but it needs some light repair work that I've never gotten around to doing. Found a pic online of Jenna Coleman wearing it...not me just to clarify!!!
