My first deletion and I was trying to be tactful and not blame/shame, obviously failed in that regard!

Great dress @20FlowerPower get fixing it 😉

Love both your outfits @zigzaggaway

Nice colour on you @Sooverthemill

I've decided these Boden trousers need to go they aren't high waisted enough on me.
If anyone has any videos or pictures how to tie this type of jumper then please pass them on as it always seems to go weird.

@Sickoffamilydrama I feel that they look best with the bow and the loose ties lying at the same length. I doubt there is one right way though.

EllaPaella · 02/12/2021 18:42

Love that jumper @Sooverthemill - I would love to find a slouchy stripey jumper. Off Christmas shopping tomorrow so will have a good look round.

Not sure what I missed with all the deletions?

@zigzaggaway the dungarees are fab 👌

Sooverthemill · 02/12/2021 19:36

@Sickoffamilydrama

@EllaPaella thank you. I do love it!

Sickoffamilydrama · 02/12/2021 19:44

Thanks @AnnieSnap I like the elongatimg illusion that a pussy bow/tie neck top gives and it instantly makes something look more professional but I always faff with the tie!

So I am sure you are all feed up of seeing this dress 🤣 but I've just found the perfect smoothing slip to wear underneath it. Unfortunately it doesn't make me a size smaller but what it does do is prevent lumps and bumps. I may also be brave and go bare legged in this dress which I think is more modern than tights.

My nan would be proud as well she always used to tell me I needed a slip with a dress/skirt!

Sickoffamilydrama · 02/12/2021 19:45

Oh thanks @Sooverthemill didn't see you post before.

AnnieSnap · 02/12/2021 19:54

@Sickoffamilydrama I won’t wear shape wear on principle. I’ve found it’s either ineffective, or effective, but bloody uncomfortable. The first is pointless, the second - life is too short for. Each to our own of course. I think you look lovely in the dress just as you are though.

Sooverthemill · 02/12/2021 19:54

@Sickoffamilydrama definitely! You look fab and you have lovely legs ( that feels like a weird thing to say).

Yes lots of deletions but hey ho let's keep this thread supportive

OublietteBravo · 02/12/2021 20:28

I feel like I missed something today. Work is crazy - and I only have another 6 working days this year as I’ve still got 17 days holiday to take. I’m off tomorrow and Monday, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to catch up properly with the thread!

I can’t pass up the chance to say how much I love your sequin dress @Sickoffamilydrama. I think you’re right - it looks more modern without tights (but - brrrr).

Jumper: Boden
Dress: Hobbs (not as good as yesterday’s bargain - although I did get it in the sale at some point last year)
Boots: Celtic & Co

Sickoffamilydrama · 02/12/2021 20:34

I agree @AnnieSnap I don't normally wear any when I have it's usually rolled down but I really want to wear this dress and it seems to bunch up around all underwear.

Thanks @Sooverthemill that didn't sound weird at all. Yes supportive is good.

Sickoffamilydrama · 02/12/2021 20:38

Crossed posts with you @OublietteBravo great dress. Yes I definitely won't be outside so I'll be all right otherwise I'm a tights and coat partier even in my teens I'd bring na coat and pay the 50p to put it in the cloakroom.

zigzaggaway · 02/12/2021 20:42

@Sickoffamilydrama the sequin dress looks fabulous!!

nellienolan · 02/12/2021 22:37

@Sickoffamilydrama, I'm a long time lurker and I love your sequin dress but just in case you don't realise it, the photo of the slip contains some identifying info.

Sickoffamilydrama · 02/12/2021 22:45

Thanks @nellienolan although as I've said before I don't care if friends or family recognise me I probably don't want that photo on there!

Sooverthemill · 03/12/2021 08:32

Black Friday cord dungarees I’ve been eying up have arrived. I hoped I’d hate them but I love the best fit ( I think I’m over ‘oversized’ on me)
Shirt: hush 2019
Dungarees: Boden
Trainers: 2020
Will I need a cardy? Hope not!

EllaPaella · 03/12/2021 09:57

Love that outfit @Chrispackhamspoodle - I don't have a leather or pleather mini skirt but am thinking it's a wardrobe staple I should invest in.
