Should I buy these? Head says no, heart says yes!

I wore Doc Martens for most of my teenage years and absolutely adored them. It must be nostalgia or hormones or something but I reeeeeeeally want these!

I'm 42 and probably halfway between trendy and conservative when it comes to clothes. I tend to play safe.

So, should I buy them? And if I do, what would I wear them with? Is it acceptable to wear dresses, black tights and docs? Or leggings, chunky socks and docs?

Apologies for bumping an old thread but I wonder if anyone of you life long doc wearers have any experience of the embroidered ones? Do they fray? Hard to clean?
