Gemy, I buy a lot of stuff from French Connection too - or at least I did. I haven't been able to find anything in there this winter at all. Unfortunately the long, loose tunic-style tops that are around at the moment do nothing for me and that's pretty much all FC seem to have. A couple of years ago I bought so many clothes in there I should have bought shares (and I'm still wearing them but they are getting a bit old and shabby - probably much like me!)

I haven't really looked at Ted Baker but will give that a whirl - thanks.

Sorky, your jeans sound fab - are they a recent purchase? And I totally know where you're coming from re. knowing what suits you but being completely unable to find anything in that size. Also what suits me is just not "in" at the moment - bootcut or flared trousers/jeans, and little fitted tops and jumpers.

FC had a simply gorgeous pea coat in this Winter, which I bought. There a very few people who can get away with double breasted pea coats, they had it in a 6 and it fits divine.
Ted Baker is a lovely fit and they do mostly tiny weeny prints which suit petite women. Almost everything is fitted so shows off what little we do have.
I know a couple of people swear by River Island for jeans to show off their bums and give a good fit, but I've tried them (6) and they fall down over my hips. I think they maybe a victim of 'resize the clothes so that people who are larger will fit a smaller size and shop here scenario'.
Moto are not for the curvy girl I think. I've got a bit of a boyish shape (from running) and they fit like a glove.
It is frustrating going shopping and realising that nothing will fit you, my mum is seamstress and can take in and up some items but not all obv.
This pg Topshop was my lifesaver because most stuff fits well.
Gap is good but I notice they often only stock maybe one size 6 and after that you're stuffed.
