What can I do to help neck and jaw line?

Just that really. My neck and jaw line are making me feel very unattractive and old. I would love to hear advice from those in the know. My self-esteem has never particularly high but it's rock bottom at the moment possibly due to going through the menopause ATM.The pictures attached are without makeup.

I'm 54, I use a Rio 60 second face lift, it has done wonders for me.

@sammylady37 yes I had it done just over a month ago and this pic is taken in the morning and the other taken in the way home in the afternoon. I have also added a pic face on just before the surgery. The last photo is of me taken last week and my new jawline, no sagging on my neck whatsoever now.

Lot of people have weight loss surgery after a large loss ( usually their tummy tucked ) I decided that I didn't want to live with my neck and jawline so that was my weight loss surgery, not cheap at 10.5k but worth the years of saving and has made such a difference to my self esteem.

May I ask which part of the of the country you are in and where you had it done ?

I'm in Somerset but I traveled to Kent for a well known plastic surgeon as I only wanted it done under a local anaesthetic.

That first photo is only taken about 4 hrs apart, I was in the car being driven home within half an hour of getting up off the table

@Namechange1965 there is nothing wrong with your jawline and neck . You don't even have the start of jowls yet so I would just enjoy your life and yes the new hairstyles look great !

Yes, seriously this is a stealth boast. I am ten years younger and you have firmer, clearer and less lined skin than me and people think my skin is good !

Op, just “kiss the ceiling” for a few minutes each morning. It’s a throat tightening excercise.

I do understand where you’re coming from. My neck and jawline are similar and I used to be bothered by my profile.

If it’s really bothering you, get rid of any excess pounds and make sure your posture is good.

Otherwise, do something to boost your self esteem. I find regular exercise and singing in a choir works for me.

I came on to sympathise as my jawline is not great (combination of hereditary and early fifties) but now feel quite depressed - there's absolutely nothing wrong with yours.

@Metropolismoon, I haven't really got excess weight . Have a very petite 5'2 frame and weigh about 7stone 11. Posture may well be a factor but self esteem is harder to work on at my age.

What about threads?
Trinny has them.
I decided I wanted them when I saw what they did to Melinda Messengers face - who I think looks amazing.

@Cherryana I did think about threads. Were you happy with the results ? How long did they last and what was the downtime like ?

I think you probably have a lovely neck but your hair length and shape doesn’t show it off. I think you’d suit a shorter bob which shows off your neck and is better in proportion with your height.

Otherwise, enjoy your longer length. I wish mine was thick like yours to look good long.

Your photos are so heavily filtered that it's impossible to tell how you really look. Lots of people have said you have amazing skin but there's absolutely no way of knowing.

@Naaaaah I don't even know how to filter photos.
I just used my phone and wore no makeup to give a realistic view. My skin is clear but I think the problem with my jawline and neck are fairly obvious.

I too think your photographs have been enhanced. Your skin has no marks at all; in fact it might have been painted on.

The photographs cannot be enlarged either.

Not at all obvious. It barely even looks like skin. That said, you've had some good advice already.

I love these threads, makes you realise how critical we can be of ourselves.

OP I'm another one who can't see any issue, apart from the ageing hairstyle which I see you are growing out.

I'm now late 40s and have vowed to look in the mirror as little as possible, I honestly think that's why eye sight goes as you get older. So you can't see the lumps, bumps and lines.
