What can I do to help neck and jaw line?

Namechange1965 · 25/10/2021 16:48

Just that really. My neck and jaw line are making me feel very unattractive and old. I would love to hear advice from those in the know. My self-esteem has never particularly high but it's rock bottom at the moment possibly due to going through the menopause ATM.The pictures attached are without makeup.

@DameDoom that's great, tbh if I thought that it would have fixed mine I would have gone that route but his promise of 30 percent better and 3.5k put me off 🤦‍♀️.

Love that it sorts out your complexion too, i have just started to use retinol ( a bit late to that party ) and I hope it works, fine lines are ok with me but it's nice to have luminous skin too!

Prai neck cream, I don't know what magic is in it but it's tightened my turkey wattle

DaisyStiener · 28/10/2021 18:40

Fucking hell OP you’ve a better neck/Jaw line than me in my mid/late 30s lol. My family are cursed with turkey neck and jowly face no matter our age and weight Sad
If you’re really worried: do the face yoga on YouTube and you can get a derma roller too

You look fab.
I can only tell you what happened to me. A change in circumstances, I started laughing much more, smiling more. Within a month, a slackening jaw and neck started tightening up. Noticably.
I actively look for comedy(films etc) and take every chance for humour and laughs.
This was a totaly unexpected side effect but a very welcome one.

Do you use it with the ionic device? I can’t see from looking at the ingredients what could be so effective, but it has very good reviews, I’m wondering if it’s the tool that is the key. What do you think?

I love Prai cream too. I use both the serum and the cream

Not sure if this link to tik tok will work - lower face work out using a water bottle

nopuppiesallowed · 28/10/2021 20:59

@Oppy
I'd worry that blowing into the bottle would give me lines or exacerbate the ones I've already got! But I'll try kissing the ceiling 🤗

I haven't seen the ionic device, just use it on its own. I do use an electronic toning device from Magnitone on my jawline too though

You have nothing to worry about. Your jaw and neck are fine.

If you really want to do something I can recommend ultherapy for the neck and a thread lift for the jawline. I've had both and they certainly made a difference. They are expensive though and ultherapy HURTS!

Your skin is great but I understand your feelings about your jawline and neck. I have something similar so I’m happy to share my experiences. Mine isn’t a fatty deposit, just loose skin so there was nothing I could have removed to improve the shape of my lower face and neck. Instead, my ‘tweakment’ provider (I’m in Edinburgh) added some filler in the front of my chin which had a more profound impact than I was expecting but still strangely unnoticed. The kind of thing where people ask if you’ve lost weight because somethings changed but they can’t put their finger in it! The filler brought my chin more in line with my face so my profile improved and it also pulled up some of the loose skin under my jaw thereby reducing the volume of it. I still have a double chin because my issue is literally just skin so the only long term solution for me is surgery but I like what the filler has done, it’s also reasonably priced and last about 18-24 months. If I had a fatty deposit under my jawline instead I could have gotten Cool Sculpting which is a wonderful procedure. I’ve had it on my bingo wings and my tummy to reduce the ‘shelf’ of fat over my c-section scar both of which have been a great success with a very noticeable reduction. I have targeted these areas because exercise and diet don’t appear to impact them in the slightest. The first test for cool sculpting is that if there is enough fat for you to grab them cool sculpting is likely to be an option for you. I’ve also had a consultation with my provider about ‘threading’ as I have noticeable jowls which pull down my mouth, contribute to my saggy neckline and give me proper ‘resting b*h face’! The procedure has excellent results as far as I can see from my research and from seeing photos of my providers other clients. Results can last 2-5 years. Since a surgical facelift (with a considerably higher price tag and risk level) has a life of about 10-12 years, threading seems like a great non surgical option. If this is a route you want to follow, find yourself an excellent practitioner and you will be so glad that you did. Good luck!

Oh! In that case, another question, if you don’t mind… what do you think of the magnitone?
Journeynotdestination · 30/10/2021 21:26

I’ve had great good results with the Foreo Bear, but you do need to do it every day.

Isn't that the procedure Linda Evangelista has said left her disfigured? Seems some people, like you, have good results with it but after seeing pics of what can go wrong (blocks of solidified fat!) I'd be scared to try it.
