What can I do to help neck and jaw line?

Namechange1965 · 25/10/2021 16:48

Just that really. My neck and jaw line are making me feel very unattractive and old. I would love to hear advice from those in the know. My self-esteem has never particularly high but it's rock bottom at the moment possibly due to going through the menopause ATM.The pictures attached are without makeup.

@Taoneusa

Op, just “kiss the ceiling” for a few minutes each morning. It’s a throat tightening excercise.
what is this witchcraft please ?
TertiusLydgate · 26/10/2021 17:51

That looks like a very youthful neck and jawline to me.

sammylady37 · 26/10/2021 18:20

@Wagsandclaws wow, that’s an amazing result. You must be thrilled. Thanks for sharing the pics and your experience

Cherryana · 26/10/2021 19:24

@Namechange1965 I haven’t had them yet but they are on my list.

Here is my list:
Botox- this is where I am at
Laser treatment
Threads
Deep plane facelift

X

Namechange1965 · 26/10/2021 19:37

I think I will definitely have a look at threads @Cherryana. I do have botox and Profhillo regularly. I have also had a course of IPL followed by maintenance every six months. I think threads may give me the result.I am looking for. The clinic I go to in London doesn't do them so I will have to do some research.x

OP I think people are being thrown by your jawline which is really good but your neck is the problem area. Look up facial exercises for that. Still, you have amazing skin!

WTF is wrong with her neck ?
ElizabethTudor · 27/10/2021 00:30

There’s nowt wrong with your neck, your jawline or your jowls Op.
Without meaning to be critical - possibly your perception of yourself. But that’s it.
You look bloody great Op. Enjoy it.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 27/10/2021 08:03

I've a double chin and had it all my life. I have layering around my face that comes into the face, my face is square so this is needed anyway.

Also I wear scarves sometimes and coats often have a funnel neck.

There is literally nothing wrong with her neck. What do you hope to achieve by that nonsense?
DameDoom · 27/10/2021 12:58

OP - do you have any other photos in a different light? You skin looks absolutely beautiful and there is not so much as a hint of a jowl or turkey neck going on. You don’t have a 90 degree chiselled chin like Angelina Jolie but literally no one does unless they get those Roger Ramjet fillers in the jawline … I believe the young’uns called it a ‘snatched’ jaw.
I have an old thread with photos on here too - I had a mini face lift last year and I am so pleased I did as it made so much of a difference and I am much happier.
I honestly think any surgeon would turn you away as even a mini lift is proper surgery and you don’t need it if the photos are accurate; however, my friend was unhappy with her neck and had a course of Morpheus 8 and it has made a real difference to her neck and chin area - she was not at the stage where surgery was really needed and it looks like she may never need it now as the results are so good … lucky cow ;)
I do concur with others regarding your hair. It looks healthy and shiny and just needs a bit of an update. That’s such an easy and pleasurable fix and would make an enormous difference. You look fab.

Northernlass99 · 27/10/2021 13:34

@Wagsandclaws

I'm in Somerset but I traveled to Kent for a well known plastic surgeon as I only wanted it done under a local anaesthetic.

That first photo is only taken about 4 hrs apart, I was in the car being driven home within half an hour of getting up off the table Smile

Wagsandclaws do you have a recommendation for a surgeon in Kent? I have been looking for one in that area.

Thank you all for the helpful advice.. I"m feeling very low at the moment so it probably was the wisest thing to post pictures asking for opinions.
Thank you all for the very kind words. ❤️xx

MetricMs · 28/10/2021 07:47

@DameDoom where did your friend go for the Morpheus8, wasn’t London by chance? Do you know how many sessions she had? Thanks!

MamsellMarie · 28/10/2021 07:58

Search for Peta facerobics has dozens of exercises on youtube and her website
Here's a link which is worth watching.
It's not a magic fix like the poster above who had surgery but I look better than I did on 10 mins or so 5 days a week.
This is an interview on Australian tv, she is Austrailian

Cantstopthewaves · 28/10/2021 08:00

@1frenchfoodie

You are 56 and look like this? You should be giving out tips not asking for them (meant kindly, honest). You look great.
Agree
DameDoom · 28/10/2021 08:49

@MetricMs Skin Doctors in Leeds. She had a course of three spread out over about 4 months. She had some results quite quickly but it really kicked in around the 6 month mark. Got rid of all her crepe and made a difference to her jowls and chin.
It can be combined with Facetite if a bit more lifting is needed - they make a small incision and put a probe into the skin to tighten more. It’s not like proper facial surgery, more like a tooth extraction but you need to wear a compression garment round your face for a week. She didn’t need that as the Morpheus alone has sorted her out.
I think hers was about £500 quid a session but it can be easily double that in London of course. She said it bloody hurt though.

Wagsandclaws · 28/10/2021 10:13

@Northernlass99 he's called Amir and his clinic is Bella Vou in Tunbridge Wells :-)

He's got lots of reviews on real self and I can highly recommend. I will use him again when and if the time comes even though he's not local to me.

Wagsandclaws · 28/10/2021 10:18

@DameDoom your thread last year was one of the things that made me skip the facetite and Morpheus8 I was offered - he said it was 3.5k and I might need it again six months later.

I figured that I may as well go the whole hog so to speak and your thread was one of the reasons why.

I've heard that facetite and Morpheus8 can be quite painful too - one of the posters on my current thread said that was the case. I think it's about how bad the sagging is too, the dr that offered facetite and Morpheus8 to me said I could expect a 30 percent improvement followed by another 30 percent if I got it done again 6 months later.

Glad to hear your mini facelift is still making you smile 😊 that's the thing isn't it? Even if we can't see an issue with op's neck and jaw she can 🤷‍♀️

Wagsandclaws Thanks, I have been looking at that clinic and was just about to make an appointment with him. Good to have that recommendation.

MetricMs · 28/10/2021 11:05

@DameDoom thank you! I’m not yet bad enough for surgery but there’s mixed reviews on Morpheus8.

DameDoom · 28/10/2021 12:56

@Wagsandclaws. Thank you. Yours is a beautiful job. You look amazing.
Of course, you’re absolutely correct, Morpheus 8 will not do the job of a lift. It would have been useless at the time for me but seeing firsthand my friend’s results, I think it might just be the ticket for holding off needing surgery if you get in early enough, or in my case now, further surgery in the future.
It has really sorted out her slight eye hollows, got rid of any unevenness in her skin tone and has made her complexion totally wow. Her doctor advised a yearly top up of one or two sessions.
I have texted her to check what it cost - she said it was £450 for a single session not the £500 I stated. I also asked her to reconfirm pain level and she said mostly bearable interspersed with fleetingly short bursts of excruciating agony. It has definitely worked for her.
