Thanks for the link Shop. I'm not allowing myself any beauty buys now until after advent calendar season is over and I can take stock of what I've got.

Has anyone got a beauty calendar? I've gone for Cult Beauty which I haven't tried before but plumped for as Liberty's felt a bit similar to previous years. I've also got an M&S one which I was planning on keeping for DM for next year - she lives in Australia so can't get it to her - but a bit worried it may go off.

I don't think I linked these before but got these M&S cord culottes to qualify for the advent calendar and am quite pleased with them, particularly for the price.

I might have a look at those culottes @Stokey they might be good for work, what footwear will you wear with them?

I've got the M & S beauty calendar, I've liked it in the past and they didn't do it last year and it works for me. Not sure about the tin approach this year though.

My lovely bag arrived and I opened it on my birthday as part of my 'present to me'! Really annoyingly it still has a security tag on so I couldn't use it that night, HN arranged courier collection on Monday and it's coming back today, good job as I want to use it this weekend!

DS was with me for my birthday last weekend so we did stuff together which was nice. This weekend he's with his father so I have drinks after work tonight, lunch with some girlfriends tomorrow and then afternoon tea with another friend at a lovely local spa on Sunday afternoon- so Chloe clearly needs to get out and about!

DPD are also delivering these lovely boots at the same time. Tried them on in store last week and loved them, a birthday discount code and a bit of money from my mum sealed the deal!

So, every year I think about getting some leather leggings and never do! I have about 3 pairs of pleather ones that I wear loads.

Currently liking these jigsaw and these Hush.

It's a big purchase for me, those of you that have them do you get lots of wear out of them?

Will be back with more later but just to say @VivaVegas I invested in Joseph and Helmut Lang leather leggings - I wear them loads. Weekend pub lunches with chunky boots and an oversized jumper. Or a silk blouse and heels for a night out, or rock t-shirt, blazer and boots. I've even worn them to watch miniShop play football as they are lovely and warm. Definitely worth investing, and make sure they are tight as they will give.

I imagine lots of us have had Christmas parties cancelled and are back working at home 🤯

Luckily I have friends who are still wanting to socialise so have been out in dresses and heels the last 2 weekends which felt fab 🥳

One more night out this Saturday so think I might have to go for the hat trick!

Heading down south to family first Christmas, after not being able to go last year I'm looking forward to it so hoping nothing scuppers it now 🤞

Not just to hear from you I haven't bought anything in the sales, but I did buy this white company cashmere jumper in November and it was a hit when I wore it across the Christmas holidays. It was a cozy Christmas! Anyway I saw there was a grey version but was sold out. While looking for the black jumper to respond to you, I found the last grey one on the Selfridges website

I did get a couple of things, top of my dreams and a more practical cashmere cardigan. Also ordered a couple of pairs of Frame jeans on the outnet in their 40% off discount.

I forgot (because it took so long to arrive) that I had also bought this Me&EM sweater which is going back - it's not meant for anyone with boobs but am keeping this one.

Now ladies I am hoping you can assist and don't mind me asking - I am looking for boots. I am 5'0 and size three. I spotted a pair on the morning show with Jennifer Anniston and Reece witherspoon with a red star on the sole - any one have a clue.
Also want to try and get a capsule wardrobe. I am 52.
questions does the amount in the capsule wardrobe include sports gear / underwear and dresses/ outfits for special occasions - can you see my struggle already !!
Have any of you done this successfully ? and if so do you replace the items and how often ?
