I feel so ugly - my eyes/ eyebrows asymmetrical

I have recently noticed that one of my eyebrows is significantly lower than the other. One is straight and the other one is curved. They are not in line even a tiny bit and i can never get them to look the same even with drawing them on.

How can I fix this? I grew my eyebrows out for about 10 months last year and got them done professionally but nothing changed.

It makes it worse being on teams all day seeing my face looking all surprised.

I also have acne and acne scars. My self esteem is so low and I can’t deal with being me and looking in the mirror most days.

Honestly I quite like your eyebrows and would never have looked at you and thought what you do about them. They look natural.

The only thing perhaps is the right one could be slightly thinned out in the area marked. But that's looking very closely.

My eyebrows don't match either but I doubt most people's do unless they're artificially tattooed on.

I’m struggling to see the problem 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly they look fine.

Hopefullysweatmightbewee · 15/10/2021 10:46

You have lovely eyebrows.

They’re supposed to be sisters not twins.

WickedWitchOfTheTrent · 15/10/2021 10:47

No one has completely symmetrical eyebrows. You look lovely.

JuneOsborne · 15/10/2021 10:48

Dude, eyebrows should be sisters, not twins. And you've got sisters!

Look, you look completely normal and lovely. None of us are perfect. You can either throw money at the problem, brow lift, microblading/powder brows, Botox, whatever, or you could work on your self esteem and try and accept the way you are.

Teams is awful though. And unlike zoom I haven't figured out how to 'hide self view' which works wonders for me! Mind you, it was because of all the cameras in my fave I got my lips filled! So I'm not one to talk. Grin

Lovebug06 · 15/10/2021 10:48

I wouldn't have noticed.

I'm not just saying that either. My eyebrows are totally different too and I can't make them look the same at all.

My beautician did tell me nobodys eyebrows are exactly symmetrical too.

Bluntness100 · 15/10/2021 10:49

Gosh this is totally normal your eyebrows are lovely and just fine.

Anon778833 · 15/10/2021 10:52

I’m a beautician and your eye brows look pretty symmetrical to me and nice (you should see mine, they are rubbish due to 90s over plucking. And I now have to have them micro bladed) As a poster above says, they should be sisters not twins.

I think you are being over critical honestly. 😊

FindingMeno · 15/10/2021 11:00

Lovely brows!
I'm truly not seeing what you feel you're seeing.

WithLargeTableMouse · 15/10/2021 11:00

Your eyebrows look lovely! Nobody’s eyebrows are symmetrical, that’s totally normal and what I can see of it, the rest of your face is beautiful, firm skin, lovely colouring, no eye bags like I’ve got. Lovely op Smile

Helenahandkart · 15/10/2021 11:00

Mine are exactly the same. They’re fine. Very few people’s faces are exactly symmetrical. From the small bit of it I can see you appear to have a lovely face.

dinosaurblues · 15/10/2021 11:07

Honestly, you look fine. You are over analysing yourself and finding flaws. On teams people tend to spend more time looking at and criticising their own picture than anyone else's.

EllaPaella · 15/10/2021 11:15

Mine are the same, far more obvious in photos than when looking in the mirror for some reason. One of my eyebrows is really arched and the other one quite flat. I think it's probably totally normal to not have a completely symmetrical face.

sansucre · 15/10/2021 11:18

OP, I mean this with the best will in the world but working on your self-esteem will do far more for you than worrying needlessly about your eyebrows. As most of the previous posters have said, eyebrows are sisters, not identical twins. Very few people have symmetric faces, so most have asymmetrical faces and brows. It's perfectly normal. I doubt anyone will ever or has ever scrutinised your eyebrows (and face) in the way you do, so please, stop torturing yourself.

Chocolatecoatedkettlebell · 15/10/2021 11:21

I find eyebrows that are too symmetrical very unnerving, it’s all I can look at because it’s not a natural thing. I think it would throw the rest of my face out if I did it, probably highlight that my chin sits slightly off centre (it’s taken me 40 plus years to figure that out)
This clip makes me smile: m.youtube.com/watch?v=I88ufolA-bA
It’s Tom Hanks doing his good side / bad side on graham Norton. Hands up if you knew he had a good side and a bad side

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 15/10/2021 11:22

I’d bloody love to have your eyebrows!

GoodnightGrandma · 15/10/2021 11:25

When we are developing in the womb, our face is in two pieces that come together. That’s why some people are born with a cleft lip and/or palate.
Therefore no one has a symmetrical face. That’s why you look different when you see a reversed picture of yourself.
You’re not the only one, and I doubt others notice unless you point it out.

AnotherName456 · 15/10/2021 11:27

I think you're focusing on them because it bothers you. I would never have noticed.

MadeForThis · 15/10/2021 11:30

Totally normal.

Comedycook · 15/10/2021 11:31

They look totally normal to me... personally I absolutely hate seeing myself on videos...I think lots of people feel like that. It's not because you are hideous, it's just weird seeing yourself like that. I know so many people who think they look awful on video calls...I can assure you none of them are awful looking people. It's just their perception. It's like when you hear your voice on an answering machine and can't believe you sound like that!

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 15/10/2021 11:34
Flowers

You’ve hyper-focused on this and made it a much bigger deal than it is.

I can guarantee you that no one else notices that very slight difference. Please try not to apply standards to yourself that a) you cannot reasonably attain, and b) you wouldn’t apply to others.

ambereeree · 15/10/2021 11:40

You're being very hard on yourself OP. They look fine.

CornedBeef451 · 15/10/2021 12:30

I also have lopsided brows and have given on makeup since WAH but I figure everyone at work already knows what I look like so there's no point worrying about it on camera.

If my face is bothering me I just stick a post it over the little version if it on my screen and pretend it's not there!

Babykoala1 · 15/10/2021 12:36

They're supposed to be sisters not twins

Mine look like they have different dads lol. Seriously though OP, it's completely normal and they look fine. It would be weirder if two eyebrows were absolutely identical
