Is this coat stylish or dowdy?

Found this coat in a local outdoorsy sort of shop at a bargain price. As well as keeping me dry through the wet winter school runs (we walk in all weathers) I thought it looked quite nice. DH violently disagrees and think it makes me look like I'm 'terribly middle aged' (I'm 40, but perhaps he doesn't like to admit that!).

Still love it! Here in Emily Blunt in Wild Mountain Thyme I think. If anyone sees one you can ship to Europe without customs fees I would buy it.
( I am really looking for a blanket cape like the one she wears at the beginning but I also like this one.)

It's very dog Walker , it's a technical coat so will do its job .. stylish or frumpy nope neither , it's practical !

@NewlyGranny I had a Drizabone years and years ago and it was amazing in the Scottish weather where I live! Makes me want one now!

Sorry, but I hate it. I'm 62 but wouldn't wear it
