Models adopting unrealistic, weird position to sell us clothes! 😮

It’s been a thing for years, but seriously? Why do retailers think this helps to sell clothes. What is the thing with adult women pulling at their clothes like an uncertain 3-year-old? Boden used to be one of the worst, but recently, their models seem to be standing normally! Here are a couple from Hush’s latest collection. Can others beat these?

Are you familiar woth Celeste Barber? Look her up on FB if not - she hilariously mimics some of these poses amd videos to show how ridiculous they are (and she always seems respectful of the original models - as a PP said - it's not their idea to stand like this).

I remember catalogues. Men shielding their eyes from the sun as they pointed at something in the distance. To model Y-fronts.😆

I used to really fancy those catalogue men back in the 90s. This was when I was a teenager and fancied the idea of a generic man.

Thank god you raised this. There is a video on the Reiss website where the model walks up to the camera and adjusts her makeup like its a selfie and just off again.

I'm trying hard not to be that older person who doesn't get it, but I also refuse to believe this is an age thing.

I wish I could find it but there was a post on something like Marks and Spencer in the 'real life photo' section of a model crouched on top of her inductio hob underneath the extractor fan on the kitchen top.

I think there was a funny reason for it-there had to be.

The other one is- Sezanne looking at you -photos that show a tantalising glimpse of part of the item of clothing, a few buttons, the trim on the collar, but we have no idea how long it is, or what the back looks like.
