I have ash blonde hair with a few silvery highlights, pale skin and dark green eyes.
Wardrobe is a mix of greys, navy, sage green, teal, dark denim, bluey purple, fawn brown and a few black.

Never wear lime green, brights, pastels, mustard, burnt orange.

Pale skin, hazel eyes, hair currently dark blonde with pink. Wear a lot of black, white, grey, or strong colours rather than pastels. I dont suit beiges, mustard, browns, rust, etc. Currently in black and grey..

MrsPear · 27/09/2021 09:22

Brown hair with auburn bits, hazel eyes and very pale white skin. Yellow looks awful and so do pastels. Black next to face makes me looked washed out. My wardrobe in summer is nautical (red, white and navy) with a splash of orange. Winter it is more jewel like reds, greens, navy, taupe and purple. I do have black slim fit jeans and trousers as basics just not tops or jumpers.

Zenithbear · 27/09/2021 09:26

You all sound beautiful!
Interesting reading all your replies.
I forgot I bought a scarlet red top in the summer and it really suits me, yet any orangey reds look awful. I love blues but baby blue makes me look very strange, probably my worst colour.

Brunette with caramel highlights, hazel eyes, warm peachy skin tone.

I wear a real mix of colours tbh. I really like light colours like ecru/white/pale grey, I tend to wear these on top as I like the contrast with my hair colour. I also like deep navy and black which I wear alot of too. For colour , I love coral , lots of pink shades, pale yellow, olive green and camel tones.

The only colour I don't seem to gravitate towards or wear is red. I think it looks harsh on me.

Ellllle · 27/09/2021 10:52

Blonde, peach/neutral undertone, blue-green eyes. I suit anything clear and bright. Neons, bright aqua, azure, neon pink, white, black, bright coral pink, that bright pink/purple thats never in shops, bright tomato/orange red. High contrast works well, like zebra print. Hush did an amazing pink and red zebra print jumper one year that I wore until it had holes.

Anything pastel, sludgy, earthy, dull, grey looks terrible. Maroon, burgundy, most browns and greys... khaki bleurghhh.

Moonshine5 · 27/09/2021 11:20

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar
Natural hair colour is almost black.
Blue black does look good. But had blonde highlights now for past 8 years. Should I stick to same colours?

Miseryisabutterfly · 27/09/2021 11:27

Golden blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin… black, navy, marl grey, browns, dark green and red suit me best. Pink too but I don’t tend to wear it. I have no idea what season I am. I may be a neutral as gold and silver jewellery suit my skin tone equally.

Fferny1 · 27/09/2021 11:56

I'm warm toned with skin that tans easily

and natural ash hair that's currently bronde, plus grey/blue eyes. I think I'm a soft autumn with low contrast skin & hair and look terrible in bright cold clear colours. Sludgy colours like Dark Khaki & Greens in several different shades look great, as do browns & mustards. Most blues look good, soft Grey's & black if it's a v neck or with a scarf. I can also get away with wearing soft summer colours.

Lovemusic33 · 27/09/2021 12:12

I have short (pixie cut) dark red hair. I can’t wear pastels as they look awful on me, khaki is my go too colour, a bit of burnt orange, grey and denim. I can’t wear too much black as my skin is pale so it makes me look deathly but can wear black on my bottom half.

BIoodyStupidJohnson · 27/09/2021 12:23

Dark blonde hair, greying a bit now. Blue eyes. Pale skin that doesn't tan.

I can wear navy blue, bright pink or bright orange. I do alright with rich autumny colours; tobacco, some mustards, burnt orange, dark wine reds. Bold patterns, especially big OTT florals, seem to work on me for some reason.

I can't seem to wear bright red, yellow, cream, bright/royal blue or white. Black washes me out, as does light grey. Pastels almost always look dreadful on me. Metallics are a complete no-no, except bronzes and coppers but I never find much in those shades. I don't do green. And no stripes.

Anything 'marl' especially grey but blues as well makes me look like I've just escaped from a remand centre.

Ellllle · 27/09/2021 12:44

To be fair, I think that marl does that to most! Just reminds me of cheap joggers.

Yellowtulips33 · 27/09/2021 12:53

Dark brown hair that's naturally got a slight auburn tint but ash brown hair dye suits me better. Dark brown eyes, warm olive skin. Look like death warmed up in burgundy/maroon or purple, terrible in orange or yellow. Look best in blues, greys, olive greens, pinks

Alwaysfuckingsick · 27/09/2021 12:57

Light ginger/blonde hair, brown eyes, pale skin with some freckles, I wear blacks, I like yellows but light yellows generally, very few pastels other than that, don't wear blue much, never wear pink or purple, LOVE green, really like red, burgundy and browns. Never neons either.

wizzywig · 27/09/2021 13:02

Asian (indian subcontinent) with dark brown hair and eyes.i wear strong jewel colours: cobalt blue, emerald green, purple, deep reddy-brown, rust, deep reds. Can pull off a white shirt. Pastels look awful on me. Can wear gold and silver jewellqry

DotBall · 27/09/2021 13:30

Mid-dark brown hair, very dark brown eyes, cool skin tone.

I look best in strong pink, cerise, magenta, red or blue based purples, teal, red and black but can also wear ice pink and blue.

Can get away with rust, olive green, french blue in autumn.

White, orange or yellow look awful on me.

Blahdyblahbla · 27/09/2021 13:46

Hazel eyes, warm brunette hair, tan easily. I'd class myself as an autumn so wear sludge / forest green / burgundy / teal / coral. Beige and denim as bases. Black only ever for funerals, never white. I love navy blue but not completely sure it suits, but wear it sparingly.

BestIsWest · 27/09/2021 14:35

This is interesting. I’ve recently stopped colouring my hair and it’s now my natural dark ash blonde with a few white streaks. I’ve had to rethink a lot of what I wear. I have greeny grey blue eyes and pale skin with a pinky undertone. Best colours soft blues, navy, silver grey, soft pinks through to raspberry. Black and white are good.

I can wear bluish greens but anything with a hint of yellow, cream, peach, lime green etc looks awful which is a shame as lime green or chartreuse used to really suit me.

Anything too bright like cobalt blue or purple doesn’t work for me at all.

SirenSays · 27/09/2021 14:45

Green eyes, rich dark brown hair with caramel blonde, a few freckles and pale skin with warm undertones. I think I'm a warm autumn if I've done my colours correctly. I have no idea what colours I look good in but I like the edgy look so I tend to wear lots of blacks, whites, greys and reds. I know I look horrendous in yellow!

Strawbsaturno · 27/09/2021 14:56

Very dark brown hair, blue/grey eyes and pale skin with pink undertone.
Anything rust, brown, beige, muddy, gold, orange or mustard looks terrible on me.
I wear lots of navy, black and grey with some bright stuff, so cobalt, Ruby, jade green. Also icy pastels look ok on me.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 27/09/2021 15:00

I have the same colouring as you, OP and am fascinated by this thread.

I wear (not all at once!) hot pink, cornflower blue, khaki and emerald green to great effect. I suit navy blue and charcoal grey; not so much black.

It's so bizarre how colour absolutely makes a difference to somebody's looks. The 'wrong' colour on one is just glorious on somebody else with different colouring.

DonEmmanuelsDingleberries · 27/09/2021 15:06

My colouring is similar to Anne Hathaway's: dark brown/almost black hair, brown eyes, pale skin. Whenever I try to work out what undertone my skin is, I think it veers somewhere between cool and neutral? Definitely not warm.

I look better in strong, clear colours. My wardrobe has a lot of blues (usually navy or royal blue), reds, greens, white, and grey. I also like pink and purple, although tend not to wear these so often. Pastels and camel/beige colours look awful on me. Yellow and orange aren't great either, but they make me happy so I wear them anyway!

Ifyoudontlikeitdosomethingelse · 27/09/2021 15:11

Ginger, Hazel eyes, pale, extreme freckles.

Always, green, navy, gray, purple, white, black

Never, red or orange

RosesAndHellebores · 27/09/2021 15:32

Hair was natural rodent but always highlighted - now a light Ash brown/blonde
grey . Brown eyes, tan very easily but pink undertones and blue rather than green veins. Had my colours done years ago when I was organising my wedding and am a Summer.

White not cream
No golds, yellows, camels, browns, or other colours with that undertone.

Navy
Grey
Turquoise
Pinks
Blues
Lilacs
Teal
Emerald
Silver or white gold

I wear a lot of black but with scarves, close to my face. I buy quite a few tops/scarves/knits from Kettlewell.

BiddyPop · 27/09/2021 23:00

I have clear skin, quite pale white, green eyes and dark brown hair (now liberally salt and peppered). Officially a clear winter.

I focus on black as my main base colour but have started to include more navy in recent years. Also black brown (as opposed to yellow based browns), grey, burgundy and pine green.

For accents, as well as the bases above, I use bottle green, pillar box red, purple and violet, blues, turquoise and teal, white, some pinks, occasional lilac, very occasional pale yellow.

Nothing with an orange undertone.

ALT1975 · 28/09/2021 17:31

Exactly the same colouring as @Strawbsaturno and love similar hues - rich jewel colours.
As much as I love autumnal colours - I look hideous in them 😔
