Looking for inspiration!

Nothing!

I have so many clothes from last year that are unworn.
That includes two dresses and some jumpers.

I spent most the year in joggers and jumpers at home, or jeans.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/09/2021 19:31

I've ordered an M&S puffer jacket
Navy
Longer than a jacket so it covers my bum but not full length
Zipped pockets and inner ziped pocked
No feather or down filling

happysunr1se · 11/09/2021 19:41

Just bought some brown leather and black rubber Chelsea boots from Ganni, looking forward to wearing them soon!

pompomsgalore · 11/09/2021 19:47

Marks and Spencer hooded rain Mac in navy for the school run.

I'd like some new jeans and a new nail colour too.

MissyB1 · 11/09/2021 19:50

I had a look around town today, White Stuff had loads of lovely autumn things, but I got overwhelmed and didn’t buy anything 🤦‍♀️

But did get a lovely scarf, knee high socks, and a pair of short wellies in Joules, they had 25% off everything.

MindBodyChocolate · 11/09/2021 19:50

I’ve bought some things from the Ines de la Fressange Uniqlo range. A pink silk shirt, striped jumper and knitted dress. Very pleased with all of it.

AlwaysOneMissing · 11/09/2021 20:01

These trousers (I’m a lot shorter than the model so they’re ankle length on me).

Blouse to wear tucked into high waisted jeans.

And this Calvin Klein coat but in black (can’t find it to link to!) thinking ahead to winter.

Went to M and S yesterday. Went there because they are apparently pretty ethical according to the Good on You app.
Bought a dress for work, a bright tomato red jumper (not sure if the colour is right for me, need to have a think) and a lovely blazer (which, when I put it on instantly made me look a dress size slimmer - yes please).
Jumper- very soft and nice detailing

Dress looks much better on me than these pics (because it is made for a large-ish hour glass like me rather than a model)

Blazer - love it

I really think M and S are seriously upping their game to be honest. Some of the things are very Baukjen-y. This time last year I wouldn’t have bought anything from there (except underwear and pjs).

othgraph · 11/09/2021 20:31

Combat boots from Russell & Bromley

MrsSiba · 11/09/2021 20:36

@Nuffaluff. Really like the tomato red jumper 🍅🙂

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 11/09/2021 20:36

Not a lot as I tend to just add tights and jumpers to my summer clothes.
I have however, bought a couple more body suit tee-shirts both long and short sleeve (only in black and white) to go under my dungarees and to wear with skirts and tights as I much prefer them to a tee-shirt that rides upwards.
I've also bought a couple of cropped jumpers as I really like the effect of a high-waisted trouser and a cropped top, but not quite self confident enough to go all in, so will wear over a vest.

Dinosaurus86 · 11/09/2021 20:52

Where have you got your cropped jumpers from @Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese? I’m keen to get one.

MeredithGreyishblue · 11/09/2021 20:58

Sigh.
So, I'm now the owner of two Wash skirts thanks to a rec here. Game changer!
White stuff Ida pinny
White stuff lady bird jumper
3 jumpers from Sainsbury (thank you again, rec last night!)
Khaki boots from Next
Joules Walking boots
Couple of long sleeved bretons
Next khaki parka-ish
Simply Be denim dress - was pleasantly surprised
Tights

Need a bag now.

@MindBodyChocolate do you have a link to the knitted dress pls?
Vickles20 · 11/09/2021 21:09

H&M long cardigans in charcoal and camel. Arrived today. Lovely and soft and cosy. Jo pockets though. Damn it. But love them.

Have done well in the charity shops. 3 dresses to wear under said cardigans.

Ninkanink · 11/09/2021 21:09

Nothing, sadly!

Might see if I can buy a couple of sweater dresses for good prices. But otherwise I’m planning not to spend at all. So I’ll read here for vicarious shopping thrills...

Vickles20 · 11/09/2021 21:12

I nearly bought the Joules Weybridge raincoat. Especially as it’s 25% at the mo. I just wasn’t keen on any of the patterns. I’m waiting and willing for them to bring a plain fabric one out. I tried it on though. Generous. Especially around the bottom area. So brilliant for larger bottoms/hips/pear shapes. Looks lovely on.

They had some in H&M for £19.99 each
Ninkanink · 11/09/2021 21:15

@Vickles20 thank you! It’s probably going to have to be charity shop/eBay prices tbh as I’m really trying to curb my spending habit...

frugalkitty · 11/09/2021 21:16

I need a pair of leather shoes and boots because everything I have is suede! No wellies either so I actually need some footwear I can wear if it's wet.

ladygindiva · 11/09/2021 21:16

I'm buying one of those duvet type coats I've been eyeing up the past couple of winters but couldn't justify another coat. I've seen the one I want, reasonably cheap, in new look. It's not as long as others, which is great as I'm a shortarse and I worried the others I'd seen would trail along the floor. It's in a nice beige shade. I'm pretty excited and want the cold weather to come!!

mynameiscalypso · 11/09/2021 21:22

I've just bought some gorgeous brown boots. I'm staring a new job next month and will be back in the office for the first time in 2 1/2 years (maternity + covid) so I've bought a few workwear bits. I'm excited about cold weather too now. I hate this time of year when I'm ready for jumpers and boots but it's still bloody mild.

expatmigrant · 11/09/2021 21:22

Mango soft trench/parka
shop.mango.com/gb/women/coats-coats/oversize-parka_17013634.html?c=37
Black high waited trousers from Massimo Dutti
and a couple of other trousers for work from H&M and M&S
also saw a lovely cardigan in Zara (might have to go shop again tomorrow)

SallyOMalley · 11/09/2021 21:25

I have bought a khaki parka in the Kin range at John Lewis. I too have a couple of dresses from last year that I haven't really worn yet so I can't really justify much in that department.

I need some new jeans if anyone has any recommendations? I've just got blue gloss paint on mine today 😖 . Looking for a wide (ish) style that I can turn up (a bit like the Hush ones I've just ruined but I fancy trying a different brand).

greyinganddecaying · 11/09/2021 21:26

@Nuffaluff I also have that blazer! What are you wearing it with?
