Think this is new also

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 15:19

Things are selling out pretty quickly in certain sizes or maybe they have been on for a few days?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 15:20

I noticed the tiered skirt in oil is sold out in certain sizes but it is new. I wonder if they have only certain sizes in stock originally?

Laska2Meryls · 21/10/2021 15:24

Oh that is new. Definitely not me!

ScottishMouse · 21/10/2021 15:37

Thanks! Some nice things there. I hope they get more sizes as I would definitely order the pintuck skirt in slate.
I also love the Aran sweater, but as an Irish person, I am almost crying with laughter at the price. You could get one of these for a quarter of the price in many places in Ireland.

ilovecherries · 21/10/2021 15:39

What do we think about double corduroy? I’m finding myself weirdly drawn to the full on cord trouser and jacket look. Then my mum just reminded me that we shared a purple iteration of this get up in 1973. The hem on the trousers were constantly up and down depending on which one was wearing it.

Prices are really inflated this year. Its annoying because I quite like matching things up with a top but its just too expensive to do that all at the one time.

The ginger alpaca yoke sweater is gorgeous! I have the black from a couple of years ago...cant justify this one sadly as I have eleventy billion sweaters

ha ha ha ha.... Yes. I don't have too many jumpers actually. I will buy the one you have at some point [ The navy one] when it gets really freezing! It wont wear it for now as It has been fairly mild up until now. Today we had ice on the car though...
neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 15:47

I mean £180 for it! Shock

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 15:48

Was it not 20 quid cheaper last year? fgs!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 15:52

What's nicer @Laska2Meryls the alpaca jumper or the navy fairisle one you got recently?

AFingerofFudge · 21/10/2021 16:04

Just a quick pop in to say I had a quick pop in the Toast shop in Cheltenham this afternoon (my days off are full of a "quick pop" here and there Grin)
They have indeed got some new stuff in this morning. I didn't buy any of it and I took a couple of crap photos but I liked the look of the yellow checked dress in the photo. Only problem for me is it had darts on the front which is not a good look for someone with a bit of flab around their middle .....Blush

Oooh thanks for sharing your photos. Actually the check dress looks so much nicer in real life. I had one but sold it on a couple of years ago as the shape just looked like a big night shirt on me!

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2021 16:15

The check print is beautiful though!

Hmm . They are so different, Never.. the Alpaca is very lightweight and warm but a bit 'hairy' . I love it but its a real cold winter jumper ( well for here in the far south it us) . The navy jacquard fairisle is more Shetland. Wool, so slightly scratchy but not too much, very similar to the red and yellow one from a few years ago which we both have . Im pretty sure that I will wear it lots this Autumn but the black - although really lovely- is so warm that I only do in depths of winter... However, although the pattern is the same on the new one, I cant tell if its the same weight.. Cherries I definitely wont be ordering it ...I quite simply cannot stuff another jumper in the cupboard !!

Could be a bit 1970s I reckon Cherries .. Which pieces are you thinking of?
ilovecherries · 21/10/2021 16:36

I already have the navy cord Gabis and there is a boxy cord jacket that I keep looking at. But if I get that I will probably need to practise hanging from a scaffold with one hand, with a pocket full of mushrooms and a neckerchief.

Gonegrey31 · 21/10/2021 17:02

ilovecherries I bought the organic cotton hemp neat fit jacket in the summer and then bought the matching trousers. I have worn this outfit so much, either with the jacket just buttoned up or with a T shirt . I like the matching jacket/ trousers look,I think you would look fab in the cord outfit .

TempleofZoom · 21/10/2021 17:41

Thanks for all the links @neveradullmoment99

For anyone thinking of ordering the Slate pintuck skirt, its actually french navy not grey as you would expect with the name slate.
Saw it about 3 weeks ago in one of the shops.
Crikey £245 for an aran jumper, probably does reflect the workmanship -my late Auntie would be shocked though.

Actually I think it would look good on you. As long as its broken up with a scarf or jewellery or a nice top underneath, I think it would work. Is the cord very thick? I mean is it whale cord or a finer cord? That may also makes a difference. Its worth a try! By the time you put a top on and boots/trainers/shoes, I think it could look very good.
