I'm on a mission to collect all the scents that remind me of my life. Some are what i wore, and some just remind me of friends or are just scents I used to smell all the time
I'd love to hear what other people's are!

Issey Miyake - L'Eau d'Issey

My go to since I was a teenager.

I think a lot of my friends wore L'Eau D'Issey, I need to smell it again to see if it brings back memories

OP i have actually started doing this! Some are just travel size or even samples rather than full bottles, but I love having them there for a good sniff when I want to be reminded of something important.

Coty perfumes are fabulous. Many old houses like Coty, Lentheric, Fabergé were just as highly regarded as designer fragrances.
The vintages can still hold their own, and of course there's been much discussion as to whether Chanel copied Coty l'Aimant for n5 or vice versa.

Lentheric Tweed, this is what my Nan always wore. I have a small amount in a mini bottle that I like to sniff sometimes.
Chanel No5, which is what my mum wore.
Poison, the original 80's version. This is the first perfume I fell in love with.

Teenage years:
Fuzzy Peach from the body shop. God I miss that.
Dewberry from the body shop.
Far away from Avon.

H2O body spray, not technically a perfume I know but teen me did love it.

20's-30's:
Classique by JPG (the first proper bottle of perfume I ever bought myself)

Lamb by Gwen Stefani

eBay is your friend One of my best eBay bargains was a sealed parfum of Poison which came in a lot with a 1970s Arpege and a 3 bottle Dior coffret of Dior miniatures. All for a tenner.

Oh god in the 90s there was one holder with interchangable scents that were Play, Rewind and Fast Forward, can’t remember who by though. The aromas were powerful!!

I’ll have to ask DH what the aftershave was I used to ask him to spray on my pillow when he went home (teen sweethearts). It was Diesel I think in a white and red bottle. Good times

Smells have a way of bringing you instantly back to a time or a place or a mood don’t they. So powerful.

Play rewind fast forward? Was that a givenchy one?

Fahrenheit or Yardley Gold for a bloke would make me melt.
