Things I want for autumn that may or may not exist

I’d like a green (proper leaf green) pencil skirt and a flat/low heel pair of red lace up leather or suede boots which aren’t clumpy like DMs. Not to be worn together, I just want some.

I don’t think these things exist!

Any mythical items you want for autumn?

Those Rieker boots aren’t bad, @BluebellCockleshell123- would rather they were an even all over colour and a bit less clumpy though… thanks for looking Smile

Skirt too short and dark and boots too burgundy I’m afraid, @Plastic01- thanks anyway

I’m always on the look out for clothes in a proper leaf or forest green, hate the bluey jade emerald greens, just don’t suit me. Love Red too and I have in the past worn red & green at the same time. Many many moons ago I had a ball gown made which had a deep green velvet strapless bodice and a bright red silk full length skirt. I just ignore the ‘Red and Green should never been seen, together’.
Tomasinabombadil · 31/08/2021 19:32

Here’s a screen shot of red boots. I’m rubbish at attaching links🙄
You could add different colour laces.🙂

I think it was “blue and green should never be seen” ?

I found some grey flannel-ish trousers in a charity shop today. Although not my dream trousers, they will do whilst I continue to chase the dream. Grin

Maybe this thread gave me some good luck!

I really want oversized patterned cardi’s that I can slouch around in. Plus a crew neck cardigans that don’t cost the earth!

MerlinsButler · 31/08/2021 20:24

@SingingWaffleDoggy

I can’t help I’m afraid but am after some wide fit low heel black leather boots like DM’s but more feminine/ less clumpy, look like lace ups but with a zip to get on and off. I’m a nightmare for shoes, I’ve always got a precise idea of what I want but have really wide feet and need arch support so either need that built in or to fit my insoles in. That makes me sound about 80 but I’m really not!
@SingingWaffleDoggy

Try these. Very comfy and I have wide feet. And the zip is great.

What sort of pleat detail on the tweed skirt? How traditional are you thinking? Colour?

Usernamenotavailabletryanother this is a bias-cut slip skirt, not a pencil skirt, but it's the most gorgeous shade of green. Slip skirts can be dressed up or down. I am all spent up at the moment but so tempted by this. www.jigsaw-online.com/products/bias-cut-slip-midi-skirt-green?variant=40761611813030&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpreJBhDvARIsAF1_BU1O2ic0zmjpuswbUveXHugr1pjbSOCdzZynSyfDmZWnwIj92f_ot_0aApvNEALw_wcB

Thanks for this.

I want pleat detail at the front though. I used to have a brown one with little kick pleats all around and loved it so much - a proper, "Oh Miss Librarian, why don't you let down your hair and remove your glasses" sort of skirt.

BigFatBloomers · 31/08/2021 22:12

To be worn with a pussy bow blouse that falls undone at just the right moment …

BigFatBloomers · 31/08/2021 22:16

I know it’s not what you want but I follow this wonderful kilt maker on Instagram. I just love what she does and the special details she adds inside.

Absolutely!

The colours/details in those kilts etc are stunning.

BangingOn · 31/08/2021 22:22

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I used to have a skirt just like that and I’ve mourned it for years, I loved it. I can’t even remember where it was from, possibly somewhere like Great Plains. It was close to 20 years ago though, would love to find one again.

This sort of shape?

I want a knitted kneelength coat in merino - one of those old-school double breasted ones that looks bulletproof but moves with you a bit. Good over midi dresses cos reduces the girliness.

V neck cashmere slipover to take account of balloon sleeves. Dark blue or grass green or flaming pink.

Shoes that are as light and comfy as Uggs but don't look anything like them.

They aren't lace up, but boy are they red:
