I loooove October-December and really impatient to buy some clothes for once the weather changes.

Anyone else?

Have you made any purchases yet?

I've just ordered a Parka as great prices at the moment on SuperDry.

I'm also wanting a new Gilet - loved my previous fat face one but it's too big now so will sell it and get a new one.

Think I also fancy an aviator jacket and some black biker boots. May just go for a cheapy jacket as will wear the parka for really bad weather and have a good waterproof already for wet days.

But I'm pretty clueless on fashion trends - so would love to hear what people who are more up to date are buying for next season. X

I've not bought anything yet which is NOT like me!

I'm a bit blah about it all - no new shapes around to inspire me maybe?

I would like to find a bootcut flare trouser or jeans with a side zip fastening.
I'd also like a rich navy blue wrap wool midi coat - MaxMaraesque but less spendy.

I'm kind of focusing on beauty rather than fashion at mo as just got to the otherside of menopause and it's like stepping off a cliff Grin

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie
Love the sound of your VW skirts - clever you.
It's on my list to learn dressmaking - one day hooefully.

A black quilted coat from Uniqlo. I really wanted a black matte fabric but haven't been able to find it so compromised and it isn't too shiney. Also bought a lovely mink coloured merino tunic from them. Looking forward to wearing the black pointed boots that I bought in the & Other Stories sale and the Gudrun Sjoden grey and black trousers bought on eBay. Mmm...looks like a theme developing..and well done Constance, sadly I'm going in the other direction.

Thank you. They are very much a work in progress!

A wool field jacket - expensive but on sale and I've wanted one for ages. Has soft warm lining too. Smart enough for everyday wear. So pleased!

I'm looking for a cape - I've always wanted one. Maybe in navy or charcoal. I've just got a promotion so want to treat myself! (once I've paid for the car repairs anyway!) Would it look a bit school girl style though? I'm in my 40s!

Very excited for this ASOS hoody dress to arrive. Trying to restrain myself from buying more sweater dresses in their sale atm...

Just ordered a pinny dress from White Stuff. And a ladybird jumper. And some boots! Oops

QueenPeary · 26/08/2021 20:00

I’m definitely getting the autumn shopping feeling! I have plenty of jumpers and dresses but have bought…
Some blundstones! Always fancied some and they’re lovely.
Merino joggers (not arrived yet)
Straight leg dark wash jeans, bit boring but they work well on me
Some fabric for making cosy pj bottoms

Also looking out for a seasalt Janelle on eBay, or might get a new one if there’s a good offer.

AnnieSnap · 26/08/2021 22:29

I have lost a lot if weight recently and had to clear out all of my previous autumn/winter clothes,
Several jumpers - many sleeveless, from Boden, Hobbs (BrandAlley) H&M and my new favourite shop And Other Stories
A couple of dresses And Other Stories
Some Gary pants from Sweaty Betty
Knitted pants from H&M
I will buy a Janelle Coat from Seasaltand sell my current one that is several sizes too big. It’s fairly stylish with its longer length at the back (for a casual, weather proof coat). It really is rainproof, windproof and comfortable. I tested it in Antartica so I know of what I speak!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2021 09:06

Annie - I'm so jealous of your trip to Antarctica. If ever I come into money, that's the first thing I'm booking!

It’s definitely worth the trip, but you will need a good coat 😮
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2021 16:44

I have a Janelle. :)

AnnieSnap · 27/08/2021 19:42

I didn’t order another Janelle in the end. I ordered this new style instead.
