Is this too sheer and / or too bridesmaid-ey for a wedding I’m attending (in March Grin ) I plan ahead….

I think it’s really beautiful and completely appropriate for a wedding. I don’t think it looks bridesmaidy at all. It’s elegant and sophisticated.

Toastfiendish · 22/08/2021 19:03

I think this range by reformation is actually designed to be for bridesmaids...I'd also worry that you'd be cold. But I'm old.

BungleandGeorge · 22/08/2021 19:12

I like it, also the dark floral one is nice. I’m also worried about the temperature, it often snows in March! If it’s all inside at a hotel would be fine but I wouldn’t choose it for a church do I don’t think

goose1964 · 22/08/2021 19:19

I think it's fine in the green and patterned but the other colours look like bridesmaid's dresses.

Catlover77 · 22/08/2021 19:26

It links to the bottle green and it does not look bridal at all. It s a lovely dress. I think you should wear it to the wedding

Catlover77 · 22/08/2021 19:27

@PalmsandCharms

It's beautiful. Would be amazing as a wedding guest dress.

I'm really intruiged to see what some of the people who say it's not suitable would wear themselves for a wedding 🤔

I dread to think!
EnjoyingTheSilence · 22/08/2021 19:35

Gorgeous dress. Not at all bridal or bridesmaidy

Chachachawoo · 22/08/2021 19:37

The green is stunning. Absolutely perfect for a formal wedding.
Great dress imo.

Brakebackcyclebot · 22/08/2021 19:39

I saw the green one and think it's gorgeous

FartleBarfle · 22/08/2021 19:40

LOL that the link sometimes opens with the white version of the dress. No wonder people have had a mixed reaction, they probably thought you were a joking!

The green version of the dress is nice. I think the emerald is festive and the sage green is more spring - might look better in March. The only thing is that it does seem to show a lot of leg. But that might be me - as long as you are comfortable then I'd go for it!

NailsNeedDoing · 22/08/2021 19:40

The green dress is lovely for a wedding guest.

InFiveMins · 22/08/2021 19:48

Yep, absolutely beautiful dress and completely fine to wear as a wedding guest.

thelastgoldeneagle · 22/08/2021 20:27

The green doesn't look bridal at all!! Go for it.

Fluffmum · 23/08/2021 17:46

No it’s nice but I’d reconsider

Stacey8989 · 23/08/2021 18:23

I think it's gorgeous and not bridesmaidish at all! Colour is lovely and just the right amount of dressy...go for it!

lindaylou123 · 23/08/2021 18:31

As its lined its not really see through. Its a beautiful dress. Love the green. I,d say its fine. Just don't get white, pink or cream lol 😆

Misty78 · 23/08/2021 21:31

I love this dress, go for it 😍😍

Buttons294749 · 23/08/2021 21:36

I don't like it and would never wear it but as long as bridesmaids are not in green then go for it.

Imo it's one of those dresses that looks great in fancy model poses but looks like a tent irl (controversial opinion of the previous comments are anything to go by 😂😂😂)

VerbenaGirl · 24/08/2021 07:20

The link takes me to a dark green one... If so, I think it would be absolutely fine for a wedding guest, and is a really nice dress and fab, bold colour. It looks a bit bridesmaidy in the picture because of the huge flowery headdress, but re-accessorised I don't think it would at all. Obvs not in the white though.

Blueink · 24/08/2021 10:12

I got Emerald link, not bridal or bridesmaid, it’s fine

Marriedatfirstyear · 24/08/2021 10:44

Link opened to the green one and first thought was bridesmaid.

Courgetteandbeans · 29/08/2021 00:19

Green is unlucky to wear to a wedding...so my mum says 🤔

Villanelle17 · 29/08/2021 11:06

It's lovely and imo fine for a wedding.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 29/08/2021 13:57

my wedding dress was green. We've been happily married for 27 years.
Keptmanskeeper · 31/08/2021 12:29

I was told many years ago that there are three colours one doesn't wear to a wedding: white, so as not to upstage the bride; black, because you're not attending a funeral; and green, because that is the colour of envy.
However, this seems a little old-fashioned and very few people on this thread (or indeed, IRL) seem to be worried about it!
I think the dress looks very nice and the shape is certainly appropriate for a wedding guest.
