@Sooverthemill - yes! It’s nice to have him back. And somehow he’s away the opposite weeks to DD this summer, so I’m only doing one child’s holiday laundry at once.

I haven’t really thought about autumn yet. I suppose I’d better do an inventory of school uniform and work out what the kids need. The summer seems to be slipping away without me really noticing.

Jumper: Warehouse
Trousers: White Stuff
Trainers: Boden

@Littlemiss74 to be honest Hush can be very hit and miss and I haven't bought much from there recently but in my experience the denim is always excellent quality, lasts really well and there is no comparison when it comes to fit and style. While some Hush items can be very oversized I would recommend sticking to your usual size for jeans.

Where has summer gone?! Cold and windy and torrential rain on and off
Jumper Boden
Jeans Karen Millen
Shoes Toms
Wish I could get my boots out really but it seems a bit wrong in August!

Ok thank you @EllaPaella that’s really helpful. I’ve often liked the look of Hush things but as I say its a bit more than I’d normally spend. Although the time saved hunting for the perfect jeans I think it would be worth it!😄

Sooverthemill · 08/08/2021 13:08

@Littlemiss74binhabe the same jeans as @EllaPaella and they are fab. I also have several other pairs of the hush jeans which are really excellent quality. If you know your size you could try eBay for a bargain? What size are you?

@Sooverthemill I’m a size 12 usually so should i go for 12 in Hush jeans? What is sizing like for their other clothes? I never know what size to order as I am short.

EllaPaella · 08/08/2021 14:23

@Littlemiss74 I would go for a 12, the jeans are usually true to size. Dresses and tops tends fo run larger but trousers not so much.

Yesterday was spent washing what felt like every item of clothing we own and we only went away for 4 days! Jealous of your 2 weeks in Devon @EllaPaella I really enjoyed it we'll definitely be going back, DH have both said we need more UK breaks.

Today I'm grumpy so trying to wear bright colours to compensate.

Cardigan Free people
Jumper Sainsbury's
Jeans Next
Boots ECCO

DS has decided that wearing a tie is the best thing ever fashion wise he's worn it 2 days in a row he's styled it today with a knitted t shirt.

Wow @Sooverthemill that's an impressive haul!!! I love it ALL and had been eyeing up the same Sézane red 1990 sweatshirt last night. Where is the other knitwear from? That long bliss cardigan and the blossom jumper are so pretty!

Thanks to @KiteflyingKat and @toastfiend I made my first Lucy & Yak order last night - fingers firmly crossed. @Shannith I love your latest charity bargains - and you look amazing in everything!

Enjoy your two weeks holiday @EllaPaella - fingers crossed for good weather. I'm off this week with DS (7) and I'm delighted as I'm desperate for a break from work. Lots of day trips planned.

Today it's standard mum gear:

Jeans - Boden Slim Straight Cropped (but at 5'4" they're more like 7/8s on me)
Top - Phase Eight via Brand Max. I do like the bat wings and the coloured speckles though.

I am 5'1 and am a standard size 8 and except once ( ol skinny jeans) they have always been perfect.

I am a dreadful browser of websites in the middle of the night! ( my DD has terrible nights) and I look everywhere for inspiration. I'm so much more confident about what suits me now and I'm happy ( kind of) to spend more and get less from sustainable brands. And as my DH is now threatening early retirement I need to get it in before our income plummets!

Morning
Wow some lovely outfits.

Love the dungarees @toastfiend good to have you back.

Yesterday skirt outfit was beautiful @Sooverthemill

@EllaPaella I have to ask what changing robe did you go for? Im sick of looking. Torn between red original in navy and a black with grey or pink dryrobe. Both similar price. I spend a fair bit of time on or in water.

Today m and s mom jeans and a top from stitch fix. Spent the weekend in waterproofs and walking boots!

I have purchased some Grenson boots for winter. Still a bit unsure but they were a bargain and looked good with skinny jeans!

My office wear seems to have veered towards the casual end of the scale. Perhaps I’ll address this in September when more people are back in.

Breton: Boden
Jumpsuit: Whistles
Trainers: Boden

@Softpebbles you look amazing today! And I have grenson nanette boots bought end of winter 2020 before we knew Covid was about to hit. I've worn them twice for about an hour. But they are so comfortable and we're a bargain too
@Shannith very sensible!

Sooverthemill · 09/08/2021 10:44

Urgh winter as in 19/20 winter bought February 2020

Softpebbles · 09/08/2021 10:49

@Sooverthemill mine are the brown 'oil' Leather if that makes sense. I think I paid £116.00 so ridiculously cheap!

I feel good today and I think half of my trouble is that my clothes don't fit me properly or I am always to conscious, I always feel I look massive but today things are more fitted and I actually feel better in myself. I am just starting some new medication and am praying I don't gain weight.
