Should I keep this dress?

Or does it look frumpy? I love the colours (although not sure if they suit me) and it's 100% cotton which is a bonus. Not too keen on the belt and it's on wonky because of the way it was attached with the security tag.

Should I keep this dress?

I love it. It is definitely oversized but you're getting away with it. It will likely look better int he autumn with boots

Colourmylife1 · 25/06/2021 09:12

Is it worth taking to a tailor to see if they could remove some of the excess fabric? It looks a bit big on you but some tailoring (if possible with the checks) can make a big difference.

Miseryisabutterfly · 25/06/2021 09:27

Glad you’re keeping it op, I think it’s a great dress.

I’m surprised by the it doesn’t suit/flatter you/too big comments. As many others have pointed out here wearing clothes is not about showing your figure off. I love the oversized silhouette and think you look fun and stylish op. Agree that those Arket sandals would be fab with it.

AvantGardening · 25/06/2021 09:50

I really like it.

Divineswirls · 25/06/2021 11:15

No it's awful

Divineswirls · 25/06/2021 11:16

You just need nicer more floaty material that's all

teawamutu · 25/06/2021 11:59

I really like it - looks much more expensive than it is imo.

Blossomtoes · 25/06/2021 12:02

I love it. It would be a keeper for me.

Marriedatfirstyear · 25/06/2021 18:22

Looks more maxi than midi on you, so maybe thats why it looks swampy. Could take the hem up a bit or take the sides in.

Marriedatfirstyear · 25/06/2021 18:23

@ViciousJackdaw

Can I be completely honest with you? I think you need to see your GP - you are looking very red in the face.
🤣🤣
Dnaltocs · 25/06/2021 18:55

No if you have to ask. It looks fine but not for you.

Girlintheframe · 25/06/2021 19:34

I really like it! Think you look fab!

Three0fivepointfour · 25/06/2021 19:39

@BuffySummersReportingforSanity

It’s not in the sale on ASOS though.

Three0fivepointfour · 25/06/2021 19:40

Does it have pockets?

neveradullmoment99 · 25/06/2021 19:42

I think it looks fab!

neveradullmoment99 · 25/06/2021 19:43

I think you could size down in it though. Although it looks fine as it is.

Colstina · 25/06/2021 19:58

I really like it too , looks cool but on trend 👌🏻

unwuthering · 26/06/2021 03:23

Amish picnic blanket.

TellmewhoIam · 26/06/2021 03:41

It looks trendy. Still, the 'gothic heroine escaped from a cruel Victorian institution' look, like 'modestwear', worries me, alongside the rolling back of women's rights that's also trendy.

noodlezoodle · 26/06/2021 04:57

I absolutely love it and I want one.

Standrewsschool · 26/06/2021 05:15

I think it looks nice, but I agree that it may be worth trying the next size down.

Three0fivepointfour · 28/06/2021 22:03

Right, I bought one! Sized down but there was still too much fabric for me and it was tight around the waist. It looked dreadful on me I’m afraid. I still love it in theory. Pockets, 100% cotton, long sleeves so I don’t have to worry about sunscreen and a v neck and all in a perfect enlarged navy gingham.

bumblebee1980a · 28/06/2021 22:04

I love it.

IToldYouIWasCummins · 28/06/2021 22:06

I LOVE it and I want to buy it!

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 28/06/2021 22:13

Mine still hasn't been worn...
