Should I keep this dress?

Or does it look frumpy? I love the colours (although not sure if they suit me) and it's 100% cotton which is a bonus. Not too keen on the belt and it's on wonky because of the way it was attached with the security tag.

I like the idea of it, but not the reality. I think the print is too large-scale for your small frame, so it comes off as "too big vs swampy" rather than "relaxed and oversized".

Do the checks match at the seams? A large check like that looks terrible if it doesn't match.

You have a lovely figure and I think the shape really suits you but the pattern isn’t great. Maybe try the same shape but with a smaller pattern/ in a plain fabric. I love midi dresses in this weather - so relaxed and comfortable

OP I don't think it's the fact that it's a midi-dress that makes this "not for you". Although subtle in tone, this is quite a bold print that gives the illusion of swamping you. It doesn't look terrible. But it does swamp you slightly. I think this could be combated by pairing the dress with a heel or a chunkier shoe like an espadrille.

If you're looking for a midi-dress I would recommend a brighter colour (you look like a spring skin tone?) with a slightly smaller pattern. Not a ditsy print. But somewhere in between that and the bold one you've got on. Also look for a flowier fabric that will skin and hang nicely as the one you've got on there looks more structured which can contribute to the 'swamping' effect

I like it and think it looks good on you. If you feel fabulous in it I'd keep it. If you don't feel "right" then don't as you'll just never reach for it.

I think it rather swamps you. A combination of the bodice style, the rather 50s style skirt and the large print.

You can definitely wear midi length but need a different style. I would look for a V or wrap style neckline, maybe a sweetheart, or a shirt dress. Look for something more tea dress style with a bit less structure and a smaller print, maybe a polka dot.

Yeah, I don't think it swamps you. All due respect, but a lot of advice on fashion you're going to get on this site is going to be very... safe. Which is fine if that's what you're after, but if you want to be a bit edgier or trend led, you won't get much validation for it here.
