Kate's green dress is lovely but she's trolling us with those white shoes!

Kate's green dress is gorgeous, a wonderful colour, and I love the bias cut of the skirt. But bronze shoes would have been so much nicer than white!

I see that the Duke of Kent is stepping down from his role as President of the All England Club, so Kate would be a natural successor there, or possibly one of the York girls, if they are hoping for a royal.

I wish that instead of those ghastly white court shoes, she'd opted for some strappy summery sandals. I'm sure she could have found something summery but still smart. And not in white.

I'm guessing that the job will go to Kate, rather than one of the York women. Poor Edward is looking really frail now, I think he had a stroke not long ago. It was nice he sat with HM at the Trooping, though. Michael was in the Royal Box yesterday with Freddie and Sophie Winkleman.

I can't see them wanting one of the York sisters when they've got Kate. They've probably been waiting for the Duke to retire so that she could take over from him entirely!

Those were exactly my thoughts, @KillingMeDeftly! Kate's always been such a big tennis fan. A good player too, I hear.

The dress is Emilia Wickstead, £1380. I didn't realise that the shoes are Jimmy Choo!

I thought Carole looked lovely yesterday but was surprised that she went for a more casual dress and espadrilles when she was going in the Royal Box

I loved Pippas dress too and the actress whose name escapes me - was in the drama with the baby in the Outback

They might be Choos but I totally agree with @KillingMeDeftly, they look 100% New Look!

The tennis club green dress is too literal for my taste. I suspect the white shoes were chosen to reflect the white lines of a court.

That's taking literal dressing to an extreme @mathanxiety - what will she be wearing at the football tomorrow night? Black and white checks so she looks like a ⚽️ ??

I kind of dread to think.

Love Kate's green dress. Haven't seen the dance round your handbag shoes, but yes, that dress would look fab with another colour of shoe.

I'm not a fan of the microbag trend either, especially on tall women like Kate. It looks like she's borrowed a handbag from Charlotte!

I actually far preferred this green Wimbledon look. And though I don't love this bag or these shoes, they are billions of times better than the white.
