Angela Merkel's fondness for coloured suits is almost on par with HMQ's! She is surprisingly good at evening wear too.

Angela looks nice there! That's a good style for her. Yes, she has a business uniform of a coloured jacket and dark trousers, doesn't she? It must be difficult for female world leaders to dress in a practical, distinctive, formal way.

HM wore a brooch inherited from Queen Mary, the Cambridge Emerald. Mary's grandfather, Prince Adolphus won the stones at a charitable event in Frankfurt! Therefore it's a German brooch - good choice!

Angela M looks fabulous in that black evening gown but she just needs a blingtastic bracelet to finish it off.

Yes HMQ is brilliant with her brooch language. I expect there is a comprehensive list cum spreadsheet detailing who originally owned or bought/gifted them, where they were first worn/occasion bought for, the jewels & their meanings etc etc.
You could have fun for hours choosing a the specific brooch for a specific occasion.
Actually I'm wondering if Angela K has a jewellery database where she inputs key words e.g German, Friendship, Family Inherited etc

I was wondering something similar, @TracyBeakerSoYeah! I know that Angela Kelly labels outfits, when/ where last worn, the jewel database would be brilliant. I wonder if HM has a good memory for that?
I like your choice of bracelet for Frau Merkel! Max has a good bracelet game, and it never looks too much with her.

I think Angela M could've given Theresa May some tips on evening outfits! I mean yes she was PM and had more important matters to deal with, but for someone with a self-declared interest in fashion and clothes (the leopard print kitten heels, the £1000 leather trousers) and a decent figure, she chose some very unflattering evening dresses.

Anyway, back to royals and here's thread mascot Prince Charles of Chubbiness Luxembourg, as adorably squeezeable as ever! The photos remind me a little of Prince George's first (and only?) trip to Australia.

His cheeks are just so cute. I love squishy babies.

Googling smooshy faced baby Prince Charles led me to discovering he has an aunt, Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg. Described as a discreet royal, 5th in line to the throne, whose focus is religion and politics studies (including a Masters in Trinity College Dublin, shout out to my alma mater).

No idea about the tiara sadly.
