Gym leggings that don't fall down - is there such a thing??

Rebecca75 · 21/05/2021 13:30

I am sick of buying gym leggings that fall down when I jump around.
I can't afford Sweaty Betty prices.
I'm 5ft 10 and a size 10-12 with a mum belly that wobbles around when the leggings either fall down or roll down...horrid!

I used to have a pair of puma ones for years that fit well but they've fallen to pieces and I can't find a similar pair.

Any brands to recommend?

Lululemon high rise or super high rise. Definitely go a size down! Or under armour.

Haven't seen them mentioned yet, so I'll put in a shout for BAM - seem to stay up well and lovely and soft. I've got a few of their hoodies too.

MiddlesexGirl · 22/05/2021 00:47

Another yay for Aurique. The best in that price range.

MiddlesexGirl · 22/05/2021 00:49

And Decathlon but there range is more limited.

@mycatchichi

Didn't they have something like that recently on dragons den?
Was that peachy lean? My PT was talking about them too. I must ask her if she invested...

Do BAM leggings have a phone pocket?

the CRZ Yoga ones you can get on amazon or aliexpress are actually suprisingly good as well. I'm pretty sure they are intentional Luluemon copies, maybe even from same factory, as the fabric feels exactly the same.

H&M leggings are a very good price, designs are nice as well, don’t roll down

Has anyone on here tried the Victoria’s Secret leggings? I’m tempted by them but don’t know anyone who’s tried them?

No but I’m very tempted by them, and also their very pretty sports bras too. Interested in the answer to this question!

I've actually got Next ones too (the cropped ones) and they stayed up really well during my run this morning. Nice high waist too, but no pockets.

Keep an eye out for Sweatty Betty sales. I got power leggings for £35 but had to be quick. There are the best and really do fabulous things to the shape of you bum. , However I also have at least 3 pairs of M and S goodmove ones that don't fall down and wear and wash well. For that reason I'd never pay full price for SBetty

NegativelyPositive · 02/06/2021 23:44

VS is ok but I wouldn’t choose them
For the gym myself. I prefer Tikiboo

pandora206 · 02/06/2021 23:47

I have IUGA capris, also from Amazon, and have bought a second pair. I actually prefer them to my Under Armour ones. They've very flattering.

I also highly rate the M&S Good Move leggings - I have capri ones that are excellent, I think they were £25. I also have a running top from that range that is really good.

WhereAreWeNow · 04/06/2021 20:05

I like Gap ones. The sculpt compression ones are v tight and definitely don't fall down. They regularly have 30 or 40% off deals.

purplesequins · 04/06/2021 20:10

go a couple of sizes up!
I'm 5.9 and usually wear a size 12 jeans but for stretchy gym stuff and running gear I need to go a size or two up or else I run with the crotch between my knees aftef half a mile.

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 04/06/2021 20:11

Sweaty Betty sometimes have a sale on and 20% off your first pair. Honestly if you splurge for that first purchase they'll last you forever. I've had mine a year now and they are amazing. Never fall down, I jog and do dance classes in them. I've had ones from Tikiboo that are £37 and they are ok but nowhere near as good as Sweaty Betty. And I really didn't want to spend that much money.

WhereAreWeNow · 04/06/2021 21:24

I also love the Uniqlo pocket leggings. They don't fall down on me but I can't say it's a problem I have with leggings. Wide hips/big arse make it hard for leggings to fall down Grin

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 04/06/2021 21:28

I've got Victoria's Secret ones. They are really good.

Ethelfromnumber73 · 04/06/2021 21:30

I buy sweaty Betty in the sales. Once got a pair for £27. They are far better than any others and I've tried, believe me! The phone pocket alone makes them worth it but the fit is second to none

ceeveebee · 04/06/2021 22:13

Ooh thanks. Might give them a shot then!
dancealittleclosertome · 04/06/2021 22:32

I have Sweaty Betty (admittedly lovely) and recently also bought a pair from Matalan. Very happy with the Matalan pair I must say. They have a phone pocket too.
