Frock crisis - help!

I have been invited to Glyndebourne - yay! - but have no idea what to wear - boo! I am early 50s, size 16, comedy bust, 5 foot 4. As against this, I’m happy to pay what it takes to find a frock that I don’t feel like the Incredible Hulk in. Please help me!

@mrssmiling what is the sizing like for Gabrielle Parker like? I'm a size 12 36GG/H but still losing weight so not sure which one to go for (but am definitely ordering it today ).

I’m a 12 too, but aiming to lose those lockdown pounds and be nearer 10! 😉
I have a medium tea dress, which fits fine, but think it will look alright if I lose weight...a wrap dress can be adjusted, and I think the small size would be tighter under the arms. However, do ring them for the best advice...very helpful, and they know what suits different shapes/sizes. Tel: 07900 824 130

My Gabrielle Parker dress arrived today (only ordered it yesterday!) and I love it.

I took their advice and ordered the smaller size and it fits really well- just need an occasion to wear it 😆

So glad you are pleased with your dress! 😁

I think the Bonita dress is perfect. I prefer long dresses at Glyndebourne, partly for warmth in the unpredictable English summer, and it’s also a bit more elegant if you’re sitting on a picnic rug for dinner.

I want to know what you’re going to see!
