I've got some inline skates as thought they might be better for pavement skating I'm now wishing I got some quods as when I used to skate there was only quods available.

How do u find them on footpaths/pavements?

I have 78a wheels so they are good for outdoor and indoor skating, they are great on smooth concrete but I wouldn't get very far on rough or uneven paths.
Luckily where I live it is very flat and there is a path that stretches a 2 mile distance along the seafront down onto a promenade which was made for skating - lovely and smooth. It's only 5 minutes from my door so I have ample opportunity to get out and about.
Depending on where you are the facebook group will advise on where is good to skate - multi-storey carparks out of hours seem to be very popular!
My quads are LMNADE (highly recommend for starting out) but I am coveting a pair of Moxi Lollies which will be on my Christmas list this year 😊

I would love to be able to skate but I’m waayyy to clumsy, my backside hurts just thinking about it!
I’m a bit crumpled after a super busy day at work but like that this thread is making me put some thought into what I’m wearing.

Hi everyone. I haven't posted for a while, it felt like even some of the S&B threads were just a bit mean (not this one obviously ) so I had a bit of a break from Mumsnet. Back now though, this was yesterday's outfit - I soon added a long sleeved top under the dress though, it was so cold 🥶

Jealous of all the skating, I have no coordination. DD was an ace skater ( ice and in-line) she always wanted to join a skate team like in the film “whip it”. I’d actually committed to her joining a team the summer she got ill .

That tee is awesome @Softpebbles! I was actually in my office today. IT issues! But still great to see some colleagues. Dress is from Baukjen (years ago, when she did great jersey dresses). With Fairfax and Favour boots. And a scarf from somewhere I can’t remember (it went with the green coat I had on!)

Ah skating. Used to love it when I was younger. Loving everyone's outfits from yesterday / today. Do need to make more effort but so hard if I have no reason to go out - just revert to jeans and t- shirt!

Actually sunny here today so took the dog for a quick walk and bravely left wellies at home.

I'm jealous of all your skating exploits - I have the coordination of a drunk toddler and skated straight into the limbo pole at my 12th birthday party, which put a quick end to my nascent rollerskating career.

I'm feeling ropy so have come home to wfh this afternoon. The Kooples jumper; All Saints vest; Sweaty Betty yoga pants.

Ah, thanks so much @Ellapaella and @Sickoffamilydrama! @Ellapaella, I've never bought anything from Toast before, but I fear the jumpsuit could be the start of a slippery slope!

@Sooverthemill they're the Jamie high rise jeans and I LOVE them! I've never been one for expensive denim before but I can really see and feel the difference. I've always really struggled to find jeans that suit me and I feel good in, so these have been a revelation. They were only £35 in the warehouse sale, too! I think they might be my bargain of the year. I'm on a hunt for more now...

Top - H&M (I bulk bought a load of t-shirts from them recently. Very boring as mainly black, but they're great! They were only about £3.99 and they're soft and comfy and fit really nicely and slightly oversized, really pleased with them).

Ventured into a skirt today. Will this be the start of summer clothes 🤷‍♀️ Although I haven’t worn much of my winter wardrobe as I lived in jeans or leggings and a hoody.

Will wear either superga/Veja trainers and a jacket when I go out (to the dizzy heights of the supermarket!)

I'm doing a major jeans clear out and swapping over to premium brands only I think ( buying via second hand sites mainly) and I'm selling all my other pairs. I live in jeans and I think I deserve to wear quality! I'm glad you love the ones you got, that was an absolute bargain

Actually I may wear my AllSaints leather jacket. I’ve only worn it twice I think!

@Sooverthemill - Both DC are fully recovered (aside from having very little sense of smell). Public Health England phoned and confirmed that they had the Indian variant - not especially surprising as cases of that are v. high here.
