Freezing! Need a jumper without a doubt. DD1 is here for the weekend in a shepherds hut Airbnb to sort out wedding stuff at venue. Hope the wood burning stove works!

I'll stop spamming the thread with coats but quite like these two, although the long one could end up looking like a khaki sack!

I might have to buy both the khaki didriksons & the long rain one and decide when they come.

I have a Seasalt kellifray which I got in 2015. While not stylish it is absolutely the best raincoat ever. Completely waterproof and has lasted so well. Still going strong and it's long enough to cover right down below my knees. They are very good quality imo if keeping dry is the priority.

This one - not sure they do them now.

I'm at the beach with the dog who is busy building the second channel tunnel while I enjoy a coffee. Wearing gap jeans, Toast jumper, my khaki green Jack Wolfskin mac and walking boots. Oh the glamour!

@Sickoffamilydrama I like the latest 2 the best and the previous 2 khaki. I agree practicality is key and I always want lots of internal pockets which is how I ended up with my Merrill one. Everyone around here has a seasalt one though and my flower lady just came wearing a lovely kne she said is very practical for dog walks!
@EllaPaella I hope elladog manages it! She loves her digging

@Sooverthemill yes she certainly does, she's just showered me and my coffee in sand

Advice please. What do all you good people think are 'statement earrings'? I have no idea. I wear gold studs or small hoops everyday.

I have a red sea salt one somewhere too!
I’m not keen on the Rains ones to be honest.

Thanks for all the coats opinions with more expensive purchases I always faff about yet I'm sure if I added up my cheap purchases that I've not worn much they'd outweigh the expensive ones!

Fancied a skirt today even though later I have to go collect the kids in the pouring rain. Jealous of your beach @EllaPaella we are about as far away as you can get in the UK from a beach!

Sorry meant to say @Sooverthemill what do you want to talk about regarding statement earrings?

I plan on collecting a few I already have a fair few but a lot of mine have seen better days. I love a good statement earring. Swarovski is sometimes good as is the silvery and Etsy. Although I do like to be able to see them in the flesh before I buy as nothing worse than earrings that are to heavy and uncomfortable to wear....which reminds me I was so busy sorting kids I haven't put my earring in today!

That pink coat is sooo lovely @Sooverthemill - totally coveting that! It is brutal today - cold and wet. A boots and coat day for sure. Boots and bag from Fairfax and Favor. Raincoat from Whistles. Also a large umbrella, not in pic, lol

@Sickoffamilydrama someone IRL said I need a pair of statement earrings for DD1s wedding and I didn't like to say I didn't really know what that was! I am not a dangly person because dogs, cats, and DDs care. I stopped wearing anything but studs after I gave birth! Are they just kind of giant earrings? I'm not a jewellery wearer except wedding and birthday rings and my birthday necklace . I never remember

I wear the same earrings all the time. I like to think they’re a tiny bit more interesting than studs/hoops. They’re very practical.

Yes @Sooverthemill they are just big/ colourful earrings. Although mine have got less big in the last few years.

Yes I love the pink but until we are back to out & about working don't think I need it @Purplecatshopaholic 😒

I think statement earrings is just slang for bigger earrings, lol. If you don’t do dangly ones, how about ones that go up hugging the ear instead @Sooverthemill. Can be tricky if you have multiple piercings - you generally need to take them out to allow the earring to hug the curve of your ear properly, but they can look awesome. Depends on your hair too - no point wearing them unless you show them off! Mismatched earrings can be really ‘statement’ too. So only a small drop, if them being too dangly is too annoying, but different shapes. Will dig some pics out.

Fingers crossed for you @itssquidstella! Loving everyone’s outfits today, looking god ladies. I’ve designated Fridays as ‘Dungaree Day’ since they don’t get nearly enough time out of the wardrobe. I got a fair few interesting comments, ‘jazzy’ was one that made me laugh 😆
