Good afternoon everyone. I found the new thread. Yay. Hope everyone is well.

Haven't posted for a while as been off work for a few weeks as having bathroom renovated & as dog was on a strict no exercise regime, I've barely left the house so been slobbing around in leggings mostly.

It's been raining and thunderstorms for weeks here but today is sunny and dog allowed out so I've actually got dressed.

Tshirt - Hush
Jeans - Mint Velvet
Trainers - Mint Velvet

Everyone's outfits looking great. Really looking forward to this week and things getting back to normal. Started planning outfits so I can finally do my Curated Closet project.

Ooh @EllaPaella @Sooverthemill loving the new haircuts too.

Had my hair cut and coloured and a manicure last week for first time in a year. My stylist burst out laughing when I walked in. To be fair my hair had gone a little bit wild! Feels good to be back to a little normality.

I'm going to stop promising to post more regularly because I inevitably fail at it! 🤦‍♀️

I went to an Anthropologie warehouse sale this week with my DM, it was great fun. There was lots of rubbish, but managed to find some great bargains amongst them. They also had a Toast outlet, and I found a jumpsuit there, although the sizing is a bit baffling - I've ended up with an 8, despite being a solid 12 in all other shops!

Today (clad entirely in warehouse sale bargains, bar the jewellery) -

Another post went AWOL - what is it with MN just now?! Went into Edinburgh yesterday - I actually ‘peopled’. Dress from All Saints, with Terry de Havilland boots. The scarf came with a coat I think.

yes everything is a pain at the moment @Sooverthemill had a weird experience in Costa today the guy serving me wouldn't until he saw me log into the track & trace app, but didn't make anyone else in the queue. It was very strange. Even as I showed him I was doing it he was being funny 🤨🤷‍♀️

Nothing to report here. Spent most of the weekend in either gym gear or a wetsuit! None of which are stylish!

The wetsuit part sounds fun @Softpebbles I was eyeing one up yesterday I want to start wild swimming again.

Although I bought roller skates instead (maybe not wise with hypermobility but I need more fun in my life).

Saw @EllaPaella was famous as well, I didn't like that thread as one person's fashionable is another's 🐕 dinner but that doesn't mean we can't all enjoy it. Fashion should be fun not torture!

Ah I’d love roller skates! Just limited on where I could skate around here. My daughter skates quite a bit. 😊

@Sickoffamilydrama ooh I have been roller skating again since the beginning of April and may I say absolutely loving it! Best kind of exercise ever. What skates have you got? These are mine. I have been trying to get out two or three times a week. I skated right the way through my teens so actually it's all coming back quite easily.
There is a big community of people 25+ who have returned to roller skating throughout lockdown, if you are on facebook there is a group called 'UK roller skaters' which I highly recommend 🛼

I did see that thread and was very pleased to get a mention from Anyfucker 😊
Not commenting on it though as I have no opinion that's worth sharing and have only been on Mumsnet myself since about 2016. The outfits and clothes I post on here are the stuff that I wear on a day to day basis which fit my lifestyle which is mostly work, dog walking, casual meet ups for coffee, lunch etc and running round with the kids. I don't have much opportunity to get really dressed up and have to wear uniform at work so my clothes are usually very casual.
But I do love this board for inspiration on higher end brands, if it wasn't for Mumsnet I would never have heard of Rixo for example (which I love but can't afford but can still covet and dream).

@EllaPaella I just looked back and found it! Yay for you! I’ve been here since 2006 and it’s definitely changed but haven’t we all?

@Sooverthemill absolutely. I would love a few more threads from posters who are knowledgeable about contemporary style and fashion - I might not have much to contribute (as don't have the lifestyle or funds for it) but would still love to follow. I guess instagram has taken over a lot of that now. There was a great thread running a while back about London trends, really enjoyed that one and discovered a few labels I'd never heard of before.

@EllaPaella I agree. I don't look on here much any more unless I have a specific question but tbh I have got in touch directly for advice on wedding outfits with 2 Instagram/ bloggers who have been very sweet and given me advice. It's a whole new world
