DD's Prom dress is navy, what colour accessories?

So her dress is navy. She has settled on having white nail varnish - she has made her mind up about that. She initially wanted white shoes/sandals but I suggested a nice pair of navy block heel sandals - I've have actually seen a pair online, she does like them too, but they are currently out of stock in her size at the moment.
I have also suggested a rose gold clutch bag. She has beautiful blue eyes (long light brown hair) and I'm thinking of dusky plum/gold tones for her eyeshadow, hopefully I'm in the process of finding someone to do her make up for her so I guess they'll have some ideas too. Does this all sound okay? I do think maybe she'd be better having a different coloured nail polish but she seems keen on white atm.

Ask you dd what shoes, bag and make up she wants, and then let her get them ffs..

She sounds like a Mother excitedly encouraging and helping her daughter with colours and styles for the Navy dress. 🌸

Whose prom is it? Let her have the fun of choosing for herself.

I'd go for silver, but she should have exactly what she wants.

Silver also goes well with navy. But you do sound a little over-invested...

Navy is pretty forgiving when it comes to colour combinations. I agree that your role should be to give advice only if asked but otherwise, tell her she looks great and to have a good time.

Rose gold would look good. Or gold.
A pale pink would also be good, or a daffodil yellow.

White will look good though but if she has the least imperfection on her nails as she's doing them, it'll be obvious. Are glitter nails still in? Hides a multitude of imperfections!

If she is looking for advice though, it would depend on her personality and coloring. I think Navy and gold can be stunning and is pretty classic. I also love navy with bright neon colours if your daughter likes to stand out a bit more.

Almost anything will go with navy. I love it with hot pink. If she wants white shoes I'd let her.

I would suggest holding back, the schools are cancelling proms left right and centre here, those who haven't cancelled have switched the venue to the school hall and fields to allow for more space. Best option is to go to the charity shops and see what takes her fancy, cheaper for you and helps a good cause
