DD's Prom dress is navy, what colour accessories?

So her dress is navy. She has settled on having white nail varnish - she has made her mind up about that. She initially wanted white shoes/sandals but I suggested a nice pair of navy block heel sandals - I've have actually seen a pair online, she does like them too, but they are currently out of stock in her size at the moment.
I have also suggested a rose gold clutch bag. She has beautiful blue eyes (long light brown hair) and I'm thinking of dusky plum/gold tones for her eyeshadow, hopefully I'm in the process of finding someone to do her make up for her so I guess they'll have some ideas too. Does this all sound okay? I do think maybe she'd be better having a different coloured nail polish but she seems keen on white atm.

Bright pink with navy looks great.
Silver jewellery or even white

I wouldn't put a teenager in navy shoes. Gold, rose gold, silver or something like that

Rhythmisadancer · 11/05/2021 14:45

lime?

RevolutionRadio · 11/05/2021 14:55

I'd have nails, bag, shoes etc all in the same colour. I'd choose any colour except black or more navy/blue.

Nude ballet pink
Looks lovely with navy.

I wouldn't have them all in the same colour. Too matchy matchy.

Rose gold shoes and accessories I'd say.

I wore navy to my grad ball a couple of years ago, with silver heeled sandals and a silver clutch bag, jewellery was also silver with deep blue stones (from tesco's Six range!) and a white sequinned scarf round my shoulders for the cooler evening Smile

Oh, and nails were a subtle sheer pink (OPI Bubble Bath, similar to Essie Ballet Slipper)

Go with silver accessories OP.

And personally I wouldn’t have her make up professionally done. They all like to get ready together at someone’s house in my experience, she’ll have more fun with her friends.

I was going to say hot pink but I'm in my 40s and no idea if that is currently trendy or something teenagers would like. I cant imagine my DD asking my advice Blush although she does borrow my casual trainers sometimes
