It's for a spring wedding. I'm slim but 5'2 so it'll be below the knee on me. I've just turned 40. I haven't been to a wedding in over a decade so struggling to find a style. Honest opinions. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't post of picture of it on (which would have been helpful!).

it's lovely and looks nicer on you than the photo from the website!

this kind of headband

Redcrayons · 07/05/2021 18:07

Oh it lovely, perfect for a wedding.

And what a bargain.

Alsohuman · 07/05/2021 18:09

It looks lovely. As pp say ditch the ankle strap shoes and fascinater. It would look gorgeous with a proper hat.

supercatlady · 07/05/2021 18:13

Love it!

ExpectingToFly · 07/05/2021 18:13

It looks lovely, I love the ruffles and print 😍

Nataliafalka · 07/05/2021 18:33

Nude heels with the dress. Looks great

Livingoffroyalities · 07/05/2021 18:36

It’s not easy getting a dress for a petite frame and that looks fantastic on you.

I would lose the ankle strap on the shoes and pick out a style that lengthens your legs and add a skinny belt to nip in the waist. I would go for a small hat with netting, or a padded headband if you suit them.

Let us know how you end up accessorising it.

Lowlight282 · 07/05/2021 18:42

I love the idea of a hairband but I'm not sure I could pull it off.

I've got an oval beaded in pearls box clutch. I'm thinking a pearl hair clip on the side and how about deep green heels? Maybe velvet? I dont know. I'm shit at this stuff. I do usually get it right in the end but it's always trial and error and multi returns to store!

I think a hair clip with the clutch you've described will be gorgeous.

I think if it’s a summer wedding I wouldn’t do velvet shoes, I would go for a nude heel maybe?

StCharlotte · 07/05/2021 18:59

So glad you've proved so many doubters wrong Grin

Alsohuman · 07/05/2021 19:43

You could definitely pull off a headband. Something like this would be really nice.

You look really lovely in it!

I’d wear it myself and am fairly ‘booby’ at a 32E and 5’3” - wouldn’t care as it’s such a nice dress!

I always wear a big hat or fascinator to a wedding; when else do you get the opportunity to? They aren’t dated if you pick the right style.

Have a lovely time!

Egghead68 · 07/05/2021 22:26

Great dress! Really suits you. Enjoy the wedding!

FloconDeNeige · 07/05/2021 22:27

I wore this fascinator in Nov 2019

FloconDeNeige · 07/05/2021 22:29

Sorry, this one!
