Opinions on this dress please

It's for a spring wedding. I'm slim but 5'2 so it'll be below the knee on me. I've just turned 40. I haven't been to a wedding in over a decade so struggling to find a style. Honest opinions. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't post of picture of it on (which would have been helpful!).

Dress looks great but I would change the ankle strap shoes!

Yes definitely needs different accessories, as I said I just wore what I had at home, I haven't been to a wedding for a decade so my access are bound to be dated!!

What do people wear on their feet/heads to weddings these days?

I'd try to pick out the blue or yellow for shoes and bag, and either get a hat, or nothing. I think the fascinator type hat look is finished.

Bargain! I’d go either for lemon, pewter or silver shoes and accessories and a belt would probably work too.

Ah gutted, I loved a fascinator back in my 20's!

I think it is nicer on you than the model. Well-done for spotting what suits you.
I'd go for lemon shoes/sandals and a dark green bag.
Wear your hair up with that neckline, maybe a slide/clip but no fascinator.

Rainbow321 I've got to have a heel, really can't pull off flats to a wedding.

OK so no fascinator, my hair too short to go up but I think a blow dry and a nice pair of earrings and then I'll splash out on the shoes and bag after saving so much on the dress.

I've never worn a hat to a wedding tbh. If I did, I think I'd go with a hat rather than a fascinator, which I don't like very much.

I always wear flats.

I love it!! It looks good on you. Consider a gold toned shoes with it. Wish I could get it for a wedding I have coming up. Like you it has been years.
