Opinions on this dress please

It's for a spring wedding. I'm slim but 5'2 so it'll be below the knee on me. I've just turned 40. I haven't been to a wedding in over a decade so struggling to find a style. Honest opinions. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't post of picture of it on (which would have been helpful!).

It'll either be a dogs dinner of a disaster or really lovely. I'll let you all know in 2 days!

Sorry think it’s a bit too fussy, there’s too much going on especially if you are fairly small.

I do think it will require some seriously high shoes though to balance out the proportions otherwise I think it could look a bit frumpy or eccentric.

OP, this is gorgeous!!! Don't decide until you've tried it on, with the heels you plan on wearing and doing your hair to get the full effect. Really pretty dress.

It’s pretty but think it might overwhelm your small frame.

I'm not keen on it sorry - it looks very straight laced and the high neck makes me come out in a sweat just looking at it. I guess we need to see it on you not a petite model!

It has a 'Vampire's Wife' vibe about it. I wouldn't wear it as I like something more forgiving style wise. Should be fine if you are very slim though..

I like the shape but honestly I don’t like the peplum frilled waist, frilly neckline and shoulders, it’s a bit too fussy for me.

It could be really warm and that dress looks as if it is a sweat infuser!

I really like the dress but it's so very nearly white. I know it's a bit grey but if someone wore it to a wedding I was at, sorry but I would definitely STILL think 'pick any other colour'

murmurlade it's 100% grey, no mistaking it for white. When it comes I'll post a picture of it next to something white.

It's arrived. I really like it, the fabric is soft and has a little bit of stretch to it. It's not white but I would call it grey either, it's a kind of bluey/greeny grey. I dont like the sleeves, they're too long and baggy. I've rolled them up in the picture but I'd get them properly altered if I decide to wear it. Please excuse the poor quality selfie. I would get a better nude bra and the accessories are just what I've got at home.

Should I wear it? Additional bonus is that it only cost be £3 (preloved)

OP I was very much in the 'it's nearly white, don't do it' club, but in real life this is BLUE and you look lovely!

I like the dress, but I think the way you've accessorised it is really dated, sorry
