Sick of drawing in my eyebrows

Workyticket · 02/05/2021 20:33

I over plucked in my youth and am missing chunks of eyebrows - they're short by about 1cm both sides (the bits nearest my nose)

I try to draw them in but I'm not great at it. I've literally not plucked for about a year and there's nothing there bar a few stragglers pointing in different directions

I'm wary of tattooing - are there any other options?

I'm slowly but surely trying to aort out my non pampering self. Ive NEVER had anything done to them but am open to salon stuff if I know what to ask for

Microblading changed my life for the better. Make up takes half the time now and they look fab. I over plucked in my youth and had to draw my eyebrows back every day and it was such a faff getting them to match.

You can get temporary tattoos on eBay .. they are really good !

rarzy · 09/05/2021 08:32

@QueenPaw can I ask what gel you use?

Fastforwardtospring · 09/05/2021 08:33

Thanks for helpful advice @shetlandponies, unfortunately I’m down south otherwise you might have had a new customer!

misskick · 09/05/2021 10:08

I had micro blading done and I love it. I don't have to constantly sit drawing eyebrows on. I can get up in the morning wash apply moisturiser and still look human lol

QueenPaw · 09/05/2021 10:18

@rarzy either the tarte one or Anastasia Beverley hills (in the tube not pot)

rarzy · 09/05/2021 10:23

Thank you, you look great!

LittleG69 · 09/05/2021 14:04

@shetlandponies are you anywhere near Nottingham?

shetlandponies · 09/05/2021 16:27

@LittleG69 yes I'm in Leicestershire

If you'd like the name of my business pm me. Although I'm fully booked until early July 😳

Numerouno1 · 06/12/2021 16:28

@shetlandponies do you still do brows in Leicester? I'm trying to pm you but not sure why it's not sending. I'm very new to mumsnet and this is my first post

Durbeyfield · 06/12/2021 19:00

Get them micro bladed. I’ve had mine done now and wish I’d done it years ago.

@Numerouno1

I used to be Shetlandponies but lost my log in and had to re register😅

So if PM's aren't sending that will be why, apologies

Yes I'm still doing brows and PMU so Feel free to PM me on this account xx

I am biased as I'm a PMU / microblading artist but Honestly it's life changing ! My clients leave my clinic on top of the world
Durbeyfield · 06/12/2021 19:08

ilovehuskies you are so right. It is a brilliant treatment and I literally love my new brows. They’re not ‘extreme’ at all, just beautifully groomed and they frame my face.

Oblomov21 · 06/12/2021 19:10

I don't like microblading or lamination as a style. They just look too huge, too unnatural, and I don't like it as a style. I want something more subtle but there doesn't seem to be anything.

HermioneWeasley · 06/12/2021 19:17

@Stichintimethey will definitely lighten up

LiveFromNewYork · 06/12/2021 19:17

I’m also too scared to get tattoo-ed. I stopped plucking mine just before lockdown and they have grown back but still quite sparse. I use Glossier boy brow which sticks to what there is and overall I am doing less pencilling in.

HermioneWeasley · 06/12/2021 19:18

@Oblomov21 micro blading doesn’t have to look huge and unnatural

I can recommend an excellent micro blader in NLeeds if anyone is interzested

SkyLarkDescending · 06/12/2021 19:20

Yes please @HermioneWeasley

I am fed up of drawing mine on and looking into micro blading.

They don't need to be huge

A good artist will work with what the client wants and keep them very natural

I personally avoid doing big brows as I believe like most trends, it will go out of fashion. I don't want my clients stuck with big bushy brows that look dated

Lamination is the absolute pits though I do agree 😩😳 it looks awful imo

Don't be scared! Do it

It isn't the same as a body tattoo, done correctly it will pretty much disappear within 5 years

Mangofandangoo · 06/12/2021 19:31

Rapid brow + a really good HD brows specialist. I love my brow lady like family 😂

stevalnamechanger · 06/12/2021 19:43

Microblading is life changing

IsThisTheEndo · 06/12/2021 19:51

Also yes please @HermioneWeasley!

YuleHaveAWonderfulChristmas · 06/12/2021 19:58

Microblading is amazing! It's made such a difference to my face and saves time ! My before and straight after.
