Okay it's been a week and I'm still not happy with my hair - pic

Please bear with me!
I thought it had been done too light...
I was offered a toned but I've been very busy with work and I can't give up a day to go into central london.
Now here's a pic of it today.
I don't want to be so light around my roots and it really shows up the dark bits (which has never happened with highlights before)

That looks like a chimp did it.

Nancylovesthecock · 22/04/2021 18:36

Seriously its awful. I would be insisting they redid it.

EarringsandLipstick · 22/04/2021 18:40

@Nancylovesthecock

That looks like a chimp did it.
😂😂😂 sorry, that is just such a funny comment!
EarringsandLipstick · 22/04/2021 18:40

But yes, OP that's terrible 😲

You'll have to go back & complain

WellTidy · 22/04/2021 18:42

I’m thinking of having highlights for the first time (trying to grow out grey roots and don’t want a demarcation line) and my fear is that they will look like this. I have dark hair too and I wouldn’t be at all happy with what you have. I hope you get it resolved.

StormcloakNord · 22/04/2021 20:41

That's awful, they've not even attempted to blend it out at the top.

Definitely go back and get it redone!

MotherOfGodWeeFella · 22/04/2021 20:44

Is your hair wet in the first photo? If so we're not getting a true picture of what it's like when your hair is dry.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 22/04/2021 20:46

That's BAD!

This

iMatter · 22/04/2021 20:48

Is your hair wet?

Mellonsprite · 22/04/2021 21:02

You’ve got 2 threads going haven’t you?
I thought these were before and after pictures, but the ‘nice’ one is immediately after having it done and the first one is 1 week later.
The roots aren’t great, but the overall look is nicer (when styled).

honeybuns007 · 22/04/2021 21:17

I can't tell what is going on. One photo shows pretty hair. The other looks like the person works in a chippy.

Quite. A very cross person who works in a chippy.

CryptoFascist · 22/04/2021 21:22

Wet highlights do look worse though. It'll look better when it's dry.

anon12345678901 · 22/04/2021 21:22

Why don't you wash your hair and take a photo? See if it looks different..

DenisetheMenace · 22/04/2021 21:23

Looking at the second photo, not sure why you had it done at all, it was lovely before.
(So says someone who’s been to a professional hairdresser 4 times, aged 56, so feel free to ignore 😁)

And dry it I mean 😂
Kittykat93 · 22/04/2021 21:25

It looked fine when you had it done , just looks greasy now

Watercoloursky · 22/04/2021 21:31

That is an excellent glower, OP! WinkGrin

imalmostthere · 22/04/2021 21:57

It either needs washing or drying and styling - can't tell by that photo what it actually looks like.

Sooobooored · 23/04/2021 06:37

It looks grey at the roots. Is that your natural colour?

Why don’t you try the toner?

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 23/04/2021 06:42

On the day 1 photo we can’t see the roots so it’s hard to compare.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 23/04/2021 06:47

If you don't like it, but you don't have time to go and get it fixed, l'm not sure there's anything we can do.

Lots of people have already reassured you it looks lovely in the first pic. If you don't agree that's fine, no one else has to agree too.

DanglingMod · 23/04/2021 06:52

I don't understand - aren't highlights supposed to he a mix of dark and light? Your hair looks amazing in the just styled picture.
