Hello again Toasties !!
Here we are again ..Spring has definitely sprung.. and here we are leaving lockdown again (hopefully for the last time) and with any luck planning some social opportunities to wear our lovely stuff actually out somewhere !!

I have the burgundy dress. It is gynormous. I think I have the smallest size and it's still generous but it is lovely if you get it to fit right.

I have found something to order! The cotton and linen tapered trousers -
here - does anyone have them, and if so, how do they fit?
I think £3 for returns is quite good - it used to cost a fortune to send back heavy things like boots

I really like these too but have no idea about sizing. The reviews say they are like the Alex trousers so perhaps size down? I think they look like their pull ons. The pull ons that I have are a 10 and I am a 12 [ well a wee bit more lock down weight more like a 12-14 especially in trousers]

Argh which one of you lovely toastistas snaffled my green denim jacket from my basket whilst I was browsing the rest of the sale! Never mind, bought the plum instead but no clue if it will fit - because, Toast!

Ah I hope it's not me! I also ordered it (and the tan Steve Mono Sandals) but it is still in stock on the website in the size I ordered 🤔

Ah I’m sure it’ll come back in if it’s meant to be :) just hope we don’t have any of the shenanigans from earlier this year.

Pleased to see they have a sale but the item I want isn't in it!

@neveradullmoment99 - are those the linen pull ons? I tried some last year but they were too big. I was a bit worried about the reviews for the cotton/linen tapered trousers which seem to complain about too much fabric at the front - worth a try though, and I paid with Paypal as that seems easier (and quicker to refund). I'll report back!

Hmmm, John Lewis haven't reduced their Toast stuff yet- I was logging on this morning all prepared!

Me too @AFingerofFudge I keep checking but all still full price….even though their sale is on other clothing and Toast’s own sale is on.

I submitted a price match on the brushstroke dress today , I'll let you know if it works.. Maybe JL haven't been informed of the Toast reductions.
( I have ordered the dress from Toast as well, but thought that id try it from JL as they often used to reduce by more . Method in my madness, was that as well as larger discounts they often have, is that JL refund in days. so its just sitting on my card, atm not actually paid out ..

I think Toast may have seriously damaged themselves with the recent shenanigans. There is still lots of sale stock showing today.
-for example the brushstroke dress ( less than half price as well!) .. usually things go in a flash from any Toast sale.

@Laska2Meryls I think possibly what you say (brand damaged) but also I just don’t think the stock is good and I’m not tempted at all (yet!). I think partly it may be down to a change of lifestyle for me - I have lots of dresses from last year that I want to wear this year. The late start to summer must be having an influence too maybe. I’m thinking that I’m likely to wait to see what comes in for A/W now. We’ll see as the sale progresses! I have to say that as a very very ‘enthusiastic’ sale shopper it feels so strange to let it pass me by. Not sure if I like it!

Here is the brushstroke dress.. its quite an unusual cut but really fab fabric..
I have found that you do need to pin the side panel of the skirt inside.. but it works like that ...like it with a jumper also as in the IGTV .. This is the JL one btw Toast haven't dispatched theirs yet....

So here is the shape of the skirt.. (excuse dusty mirror) the flap wants to hang outside it seems but I think that its much better inside ATM I just have it pinned that way.. If I keep, then I will put a stitch in to hold it

Yes I think so , but I want JL to price match it !! ( then if it reduces further in the 28 days then.... )

I’ve ordered the burgundy tent dress and the blue checked one with the tie front. (Can’t remember what it’s called and hard to assess it on the website as the model is clambering up a tree or somesuch). I will probably look a total pile of shite in it but have been strangely drawn to it for months, so will scratch the itch at least. Toast suggested I size up in it, and I haven’t so it may not even fit.

And as those dresses represent my total expenditure for 6 months,it all feel relatively guilt free.

@ilovecherries that weird tie at the front one I have also ordered; and like you said, a scratch I needed to itch, so we shall see!
I'm up for work but immediately (of course!) checked the JL website and they still haven't reduced their Toast stuff!! Bah!!

JL have price matched my Toast dress (bar the delivery charge). I didn’t dare to order directly from Toast!
