Royal Style - more outfits as lockdown eases, not more black we hope

They were at a Church of Scotland event (I think) so if there's ever a time when a coat dress is suitable, it's then!

It was the General Assembly so I would agree that a coat dress was very appropriate. I know I'm obviously out of step with nearly everyone on here but I thought the colour was beautiful and Kate looked lovely. I agree though that she could have had something at the neck but only because it could have been a bit chilly in Edinburgh and in the Assembly building.

The Spanish royals were out for Princess Leonor's confirmation. No one does business chic like Letizia. No Ex-Queen Sofia, the perennial third wheel, this time

Ah Deftly that's a bit mean re Queen Sofia. She's not had it easy - her philandering husband and the scandal with her son in law and her daughter being implicated. It must take its toll. Her ds and dgc may be happy to have her there.
I do recall though there being an incident at one point with L and S. I can't remember the details.

The Spanish princesses always look nice, very appropriately dressed, but not over formal. They're going to be tall like dad! It's unusual to see Leti in flat shoes, but it's a win from me!

The Spanish royals look great, very stylish. Leti's trousers look chic on her because she's so slim, but I suspect they'd look like stuffed sausage meat on most other people. I'd make them look like old fashioned jodhpurs by filling out the thigh bits naturally...
I agree about the sky high stilettos-I wonder lockdown made people reassess their comfort. I've finally embraced trainers and can't wear heels due to arthritis.

I just think those sky high spindly heels have been around for a long time and are looking a bit dated. You're probably right, @Eaumyword about lockdown and comfort, though.

Kate's had her jab and funnily enough the ribbed top and high waisted stonewash jeans (could they be mom jeans and not skinnies??) are probably the trendiest things I've ever seen on her!

When I saw the picture of Kate my first thought was the jeans. I can't remember who said earlier this week that she should get some faded Levi's.

Everything I’ve read about queen Sofia ( admittedly not much) says she’s a warm and hard working royal. Yes, the time she’s had lately makes the queen Annus Horribilis look like a picnic.
Nice pics of the Spanish royal family. I think the Spanish as a whole do stylish well. They often tend to have good posture too.

I stopped following royal style closely but had to comment on Kate’s vaccine outfit! She looks so good. Apparently her jeans are these from And Other Stories www.stories.com/en_gbp/clothing/jeans/straight/product.favourite-cut-cropped-blue.0898522009.html and the top is a H&M one she was first seen wearing in 2016.

I was only joking re Sofia. I used to be on these threads a long time ago under a different name and remembered we played royal AIBU shortly after the Letizia/Sofia incident and one of them was "to wonder why my husband brings his mother everywhere with us."

I think Kate looked really good yesterday, but I'm afraid mom jeans are hideous imo! My DD (13) loves them but I don't think they do anyone any favours. Kate can get away with most things because she is so slim, but on most people I don't think mom jeans are at all flattering.

Wonder if she had her vejas on her feet!
